Worst event ever in this game. Not really difficult to imagine to what extent does Gaijin not care about War Thunder.
lmao I did that like 3/4 times, killing zeppelins with the armored truck is very easy
Did a little test with the suspension of the Chamond, and it does need a bit of fixing :
When at a full stop the suspension is ok and as it should be.
When simply driving straight forward the front collapses for no reason.
Stop again, and the suspension raises a little, but not back to “default”.
Shoot the machine gun, and it goes back up completely but i can’t explain why.
That’s a lot of pictures and the differences might not be obvious, it would look better in a video, but do the test for yourselves and you’ll notice that the difference is quite big in game

To be fair the Chamond literally can’t move at the speed it can in the event mode.
Well yes we all know, none of them can. They said they were buffed for the event … They have their real speed once you get them for random battles

So Gaijin probably didn’t model the suspension with that speed in mind, which causes it to be like that in the Great War mode
My tests were done in test drive, so at the real speed
I would’ve loved to see the FT-17 instead of the Garfield. I think its gun would’ve been practically useless against the A7V tho, since that thing is a bullet sponge.
Adding a weird ass truck instead of one of the most famous WW1 tanks is…meh…

the first guy had a Garford, starting to see the issue ?
I still didnt lose a single game as germans, I did win as entente 2 times today. However, only when we spawned on the bottom and team rushed A,B with garfords.
The balance has been worsened for the Entente again. The A7V remains a very potent vehicle so you need to use the only vehicle that can kill it, the Chamond.
But now the germans are also spamming the Garford which one shots instantly the Chamond while the Chamond can’t do anything to a Garford.
That’s a win-win for Germany

Same gun is already in game in France. They could just give it modern shells (mle. 1937 APCR)

And it’s the worst gun of the game. So bad that the vehicles using it got replaced by the ones with the 47mm
if new players started with ww1 and would have to grind to current 1.0 then I think even bigger % would quit

Still viable. This isn’t about being competitive, it’s about having fun.
i could agree about having fun, but the gun makes it impossible. Have you played them ? The 37mm isn’t viable at all ! No pen and next to no post pen damage. You can’t kill a thing with that joke of a gun

Garford is probably worse than the A7 at this point, but the Chamond still gets one shot by both, and with the limited firing angles and massive size you can’t go anywhere in it undetected so you’re just on the defensive whilst Germany can capture zones and then ticket bleed does the rest.
