Armour ? The only tank that had armour is the A7V so yeah, good thing it became irrelevant
Zepplin should definitely stay. At 1.0 it will just be a worse PBY.
How is a vehicle that is only hull good at hull down when the gun is basically touching the ground. The only good hull down casemates I can think of are German Panzerjagers and jagdpanzers
Armor became meaningless for everyone you mean, not just one side :P
And of course once Entente players get a tank that can deal with the A7V as well as the A7V can deal with anything else they’ll be smacking German vehicles around, they’ve been having to fight uphill this whole time beforehand.
No fun playing the Alliwd side, the A7V must have either spall liners or the overpressure doesn’t work…
Kind of both, the thing seems divided in 3 parts with armour protecting each segment
God I hope infantry stays in the game. It’s awesome
I find the Garford most bearable vehicle to play. It’s pretty fast now compared to other vehicles in game since the traction buff. Other than A7V, Mark V can also soak up some damage, which earns you mission points.
Also no armor best armor
Well, yes. But this also shifted how the game is played. No one moves out anymore and the advertised infantry is completly out, you don’t interact with it anymore. Its just slope/hillsniping.
The most tanky vehicle is now the Garford. It doesn’t fuse AP shells and is almost immune to HE.
It’s only op to your because it’s Russian. Using the German side is just seal club city. AP for everything means easy kills, GarFord just requires slightly more skill to kill.
You can aim right?
Well so many changes were made to the mode that I do not like it anymore. It was cool before all the buffs and side changes.
Triple Entente is better off on the original, south side. I do not like the north one. Vehicles are just comically fast now. I can go around 27 - 30 km/h in garford in deep mud in middle of the map, what a joke… St-Chamond doing 20 - 22 km/h, like why ? Wasn’t the tank supposed to go 12km/h ? Or the arcade buff is so drastic ? Idk, I haven’t played arcade in ages. Finally we had some “slower” paced combat which is now again made faster…
Luckily it is just a event, which was fun, now it is just another “meh” arcadey gamemode.
Awfully dumb decision to add night battle when you can get stuck on pretty much anything.
Its just stupid, its the most unarmored vehicle, a truck literally. Requires most ‘skill’ to kill. Everything else oneshots each other. Garford also very fast now, even in mud. Gajin…
Yes, I agree. Day#1 was the best. Felt like Great War. I also noticed the speed buff. Look how much Mark and Chamond did historically…its embarassing.
And Garford omg, now in hovermode, not affected by mud an terrain. You zoom around with 30km/h. And it looks just so wrong…these thin wheels and not sinking in wtf.
No armor best armor. Plus the A7V is literally point and click for free kills
Yeah sadly all immersion is gone, it was a refreshing addition to the game, but the hype wore off after a few days, the 3 cap layout is extremely disappointing for an event set in WW1, they could’ve easily brought back Advance from a few years ago for a more immersive attack/defense game mode, instead we got GRB with NPCs that stand around and do nothing.
Maybe I missed it on day#1, but now there are also dirt roads through the no mans land, you can quickly traverse over to the enemy side and camp their lines from behind. Totally WW1-like^^ Driveble roads allowing Garfords to speed up where supposedly should be just impassable mud, impact craters, barbed wire and trenches.
It gets one shot every time still.
no the garford is legit op because it’s:
1: much smaller so harder to hit (and hit’s don’t do anything since it’s peper thin)
2: much faster (as long as you’re driving it correctly)
3: is much tankier for no reason (it can’t be overpressured despite being thin enough to not trigger fuses) and is the only vehicle with an op he shell)
4: much stealthier thanks to it’s darker camo coupled with it’s very small size.
the only balancing factor is the terrible cross country performance and the poor penetration at range.
Agreed, I gave the Garford a try today and it’s easily the best 2nd vehicle of the event, it’s stealthy and its HE shell can 1 shot Chamonds and kill Mark V tanks with a good placed shot, good mobility, low silhouette, can lob shells behind cover and can flank on the edges of the map.
