Hello everyone, I just bought a new Gaming laptop- MSI GV62 7RD.
After I opened War Thunder, everything was fine, I had 70-115 FPS at the hangar, and I had about 78- 120 FPS in battle. After some battles, the FPS locked at 60. I tried Steam, but I get the same 60 FPS.
My laptop specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
RAM:8 GB DDR4
Video Card: GTX 1050
Processor: i5-7300HQ
SSD Apacer AS350X 1TB
Please help me
Vsync? Gsync? Freesync?
Do you have an nvidia cp options set for VRR or a blanket refresh rate limit?
Better yet, are you even using the 120hz setting?
60fps on a GTX1050 is suprising. Could be your laptop performance modes ig? Or just limiting its own FPS due to temperature. Anyway I’d check settings both in game and in windows- Refresh rate or Vsync. It’s an MSI laptop, not entirely sure but they may have their own program to control performance modes or something
Not at all really, I mean I was able to get a solid 40 - 50 FPS on Intel Integrated from a 10210U soooo
eh its all about the resolution and settings ig
true, I mean it was with ULQ, 720p and all that but I mean, a 1050 is very powerful
I have these settings turned off, and my laptop has 60Hz screen
Then getting more than 60Fps is useless, a 60Hz screen can’t display any more FPS than 60, and if your game is running at higher Frame rates, you may get screen tearing.
The problem is half fixed- now I get the same FPS, around 70-115 on ground vehicles, but in the hangar and on planes it’s locked on 60 FPS
