I’m more surprised they don’t have one yet, they’ve been getting a steady amount of captured equipment throughout the years that they took from surrounding countries throughout the fighting during the past eighty years. Plus it would be their first heavy tank no?
I’ve got no problems with captured equipment, they don’t even need to be premium (examples being ships & equipment is the Israel tree), just this update we technically got captured equipment in the form of two MG151/20 autocannons on an American LCM6 for the French tree (it also has a British turret, with one autocannon mounted on it).
this would give Russia a abrams , USA a su27UB , USA a mig25 , USA mig29 , USA T-80
would sure be neat but I don’t think what Russia and china would get would be equal to USA or rest of nato
Firstly, I don’t think any of these vehicles were actually used operationally by those countries, just captured, and there is a difference. Correct me if I’m wrong, though.
I fully support captured vehicles that were then used by the captor being added to the game, because it simulates the vehicle doing something it did IRL… possessing a vehicle shouldn’t be criteria for it being included in a TT.
Secondly I don’t think Gaijin wants to touch any reference to “current conflict”
su27UB was operational and Abrams (Abrams may have needed repairs)
The Su-27UB didn’t have a radar or any weapon surfaces.
It could fly though.
what the mig25 I think is the only thing with radar that USA “recovered” but it had no wings
By operational I mean used in service by the captor country, sorry I should have clarified. Like, for example, Germany using captured Shermans in combat.

I don’t think modern captures atleast are used for service unless we include china j-35 and j20 NATO 5th gen copies but those are different but the same
Yes, and I agree that they shouldn’t be in the game. I wouldn’t mind something like a Soviet Tiger, though, because the Tiger was used in service by the Soviets.

To be fair, so does USA USSR and UK. Japan and France kinda does at a much smaller scale.
