No, just a regular American Huey with 8.7 and six TOW missiles.
It’s still more or less possible to try against all sorts of Gepards SPAA, but missiles? There are no countermeasures, and the launch range is up to 4 km! And most importantly, historically, the main advantage of second-generation missiles is that they are wire-guided via an optical channel—Tube-launched Optically-tracked Wire-guided. What kind of optical-electronic countermeasure station is this? Tanks are equipped with smoke screens and active defense systems to counter these ATGMs! What kind of system is this that instantly detects where an ATGM is aiming (how does it detect? There’s no radiation like laser designators! It’s an optical channel!) And how does it suppress them? Wire-guided!
Currently, this is the number one problem in countering drones using optical fiber, an impossible one to solve, but as we can see, the Gaijin have their own reality here.
Launcher has IR sensor which tracks IR beacon on missile rear. Based on that info and user input, launcher control unit sends signals to missile via wire. Hence why its semi-automatic guidance type - part of job is done by launcher control unit, other part is done by human.
When missile is fired at IRCM tank, IRCM blinds launcher control unit. Missile IR marker drowns inside huge IR blot and launcher loses ability to send signals properly. It cant see the missile.
And no, IRCM doesnt detect any launches, its on and just keeps shining (look at Puma or T90A with NVD).
Optic fiber drones have nothing to do with TOW. They send/receive image/commands via cable and do not rely on IR beacons therefore IRCM is useless against them.
To blind an optical unit, you first need to find it. Here, I understand it’s the default—constant protection.
I mentioned drones because the principle of transmitting control via wires/fiber optics is similar, and countering the control signal is impossible without physically breaking the signal transmission chain.
Softkill APS systems have sensors which detect missiles. Then info from sensors goes to computer which gives commands to jammer which then disrupts missile guidance.
Similar but not same, because launcher control unit sends control commands based on IR beacon of missile as well. So if jammer covers that beacon and starts emitting false guidance signals, LCU gets fooled and missile misses its target.
Зроз, дякую.
@Smin1080p_WT , I’ve been having an issue with the test flight Mission Editor for aircraft, when my player-controlled aircraft is any bomber. The options for any kind of missions other than " Free Flight " are not appearing in the drop-down selector.
^Example of a bomber mission which is currently not appearing
When reporting this, should I use the current game version or the Dev Server version section ? The issue was not mentioned as being resolved in the dev server changelog.
On purpose, huh? Four SPAAs with a marker and clouds, what a fun game))) It’s not like flying a helicopter around shells to avoid being shot down.
A tank can be upgraded in three or four days of good play; the final module on this helicopter costs 87,000. Why add them to the game? To sell the Ka-52 as a premium package?
Yeah the french
How quickly do the 4 am37 on the mirage 4000 get shot down by spaa, please test for me real quick
