There also seems to be a big inconsistency with damage and physics depending on the tank.
With the Cobra King / Jumbo, if you hit a curb or small obstacle the front suspension can break or the tracks get destroyed very easily. Sometimes even a small impact can damage the running gear.
But at the same time, tanks can jump from hills or cliffs and nothing happens, which makes no sense from a physics perspective.
Another strange thing is how Soviet tanks react to damage. For example, when dropping a bomb on a T-34-85, many times it only damages the track and turns it yellow instead of destroying the tank. The same happens when shooting the front drive wheel — it often only turns yellow instead of breaking the track.
This makes the damage model feel very inconsistent between different nations and vehicles, especially when some tanks seem to take much less damage in situations where others would be destroyed.
The stat card when flipping between tanks is kinda annoying, once you hover over the stat card you have to fully move your cursor away from where you want to go to make it disappear, same for in game.
The crew points system having to scroll in your crew points especially for radio comms when settings for UI at 100% at 32" 4k feels too compressed, just make the panel the max depth of what items qre the list please no scroll function.
The new crew training window is not easy to read and use.
It is stuck to the right-side of the screen, making it awkward to read.
The skill names and skill bars are too close to each other, it is hard to know which skill bar belongs to which skill.
The Expert and Ace skill bars appear before the normal skill bar, making it confusing to visually gauge the total skill level.
The buttons to increase the skill are very small.
The skill bar colouring for potential skill (skill level obtainable with the current XP points) does not contrast enough with the color of the other modes (trained color and unobtainable color).
It’s cool that the UI is evolving as it has been the same for many years, I just hope this is only a draft / test version and not the final UI.
They gave it a radar it didn’t need and was never actually fitted according even though they said it “could be” according to what I could find online.
They should have moved it to 7.7 and actually give Brittain an spaa at 7.7 where the majority of there tanks sit rather than trying to shoot down 9.0 aircraft in a full 8.0 uptier with a skink lol… A gap from 5.3-8.3 is ridiculous and 3 spaa at. 8.3-8.7 is silly.
At 7.7 it would face more heavies making it less of an impact or nuisance without APDS now. The new radar was never needed as it was plenty good at shooting air already. Id rather they implement the laser range finder it apparently had, haven’t checked if they added it this patch though.
Hi, I know this might not be the right time, but I was just wondering if Gaijin has any plans on having new combat drones (UCAV) for higher tiers. Such as drones like, MQ-9B, XQ-58A, S-70, Orion-2 (Helios), Inokhodets-RU (Sirius), and etc…
Idk who changed this map and why, but it would be great if map changes would be executed by people who actually play the game, use common sense and if those guys would actually test map changes before they go live.
Why?
The map / targets location is quite small. Adding a secondary airfield on this tiny map makes zero sense, especially if own ground units are 2-3 km away…
The map had before the change 3 non-respawning bases and (after all 3 bases were gone) the enemy airfield as target. In the linked replay you will see that after the destruction of all 3 bases there was neither a base respawn, nor the enemy airfield marked as bombing target. This makes zero sense - my last teammate in a B-25 waited for base respawn or the airfield to drop - and ended the match with zero points as the enemy team killed all 3 bases and a hell of ground units = ticket defeat…
Recommendation:
Restore the old map layout or:
Open the airfield as bombing point - or:
Ensue a proper base respawn - and:
Add more ground units / reduce their ticket impact - and:
Delete both secondary airfields, they are not needed
And what about the issues with bombs and hit effects that make the aiming reticle jump all over the screen?
When a bomb explodes near the tank, sometimes the sight starts shaking so much that the targeting marker moves in all directions and you can’t aim properly. The same thing happens when you get hit by a large caliber shell — the whole screen shakes and the reticle bounces everywhere in a way that feels exaggerated and unrealistic.
There are also problems with objects in the environment. Sometimes buildings, fences, or other map objects fall down and then suddenly reappear again. This has been happening for a long time and does not look like a new bug.
These issues have been in the game for years, and they still keep happening after updates. At this point it feels like old problems are never fully fixed, while new ones keep appearing.
I just noted that all my crew prices (GE) went up. IIRC, that wasn’t in the patch notes.
Before the patch, I could buy a 9th Chinese crew for 800GE, now it is 1200GE, and similarly in other nations.
If I buy my first extra Israeli crew, I now have to pay 500GE instead of 200GE.
What the update actually also did was to sekritly convert the gifted bonus crews into regular crews, thereby making everything more expensive for players who got those crews, including their first crew purchase. Please fix that!
There is no “best setting” because people have different opinions on “what sounds best”, however there is a plan to change the presentation in the options to show the differences better.
