mixed battles suck because it’s every nation vs every nation. you are facing the same vehicles as you are playing. At least for me personally that is not a fun match. You cannot tailor your playstyle to the enemies you will face.
If I am facing germany I will play differently then when facing russia for example. I might spawn differnet vehicles and access different areas of the map. If it’s just a free for all this game just becomes even more of a call of duty than it is rn.
I’ll try to clarify the sentence.
From my experience, every nation has gameplay similar to later eras. And the argument that, at least as you say, you use a vehicle for different occasions or based on the nations you’re fighting doesn’t make much sense.
Now, all nations have similar vehicles (light, MBT, etc.)
That only starts aplying once you get to like 9.0 and higher. I usually stay bellow that and paly early to mid cold war tanks. 6.0 to 8.7 where variety is quite good.
And even in higher BRs soviet style tanks differ quite a lot from NATO ones and even within NATO those are quite diffferent. Challengers, Abrams, LEclercs. They all play differently with different shells, armour and mobility.
almost more understandable but I still think that greater interplay with the various nations would be better for the general balance (I underline in my humble opinion 6,500 hours)
Almost every TT either has a leopard or some kind of t series tank. in every game you are fighting copies of yourself. Mixed MM really wont change much of anything besides both sides having the same broken things on each team. you can complain about the LMURs or pantsir if both teams have them? The whole argument of it being a clusterfuck due to every nation having “unique” tanks is long dead.
Fighting leopards or T-series tanks is completely different than something like both teams having 5 king tigers or both teams having stuff like the M103 or other american heavies. Or even like french 100mm autoloaders. There is enough variety still in the game for mixed matchmaker to make the game bland
The games already bland. at tier 6 and above there is a net total of over 100 players in queue for Russia while every other nation TOGETHER adds up to maybe 40. i can see mixed MM at low teir being a bit worse but top teir desperately needs it. every single game is a guarantee to fight Russia and it is very stale. teir 5 and below i understand the want to keep it as is but still think that going to a full mixed battle system will change almost nothing since if you play the game long enough you already know how to defeat every tank you are going to fight including your own since any good player should know there own weaknesses.
Yeah I don’t care what they do with top tier it’s bad enough as it is so mixed MM would not change much since half the matches are mixxed anyway with how blatantly strong gaijin makes russia.
Bellow that I don’t want to see mixed mm as I already said it makes the game bland as hell. If I wanted mixed I would go play arcade.
thats the big issue. ive been playing since the ground beta and back then it was like rock paper scissors for ground. like just look and how utterly awful the tigers are now compared to the past.
They are still among the better tanks at their BR. I have been playing since 2014 and if they were to introduce mixed MM I would seriously consider just not playing anymore
The king tigers are most certianly not. they are in a rather pitiful spot but most heavy’s that can get put into 7+ games usually suffer. it really isnt that bad mixed match making is already in RB. try to queue with a Russian and American squad. if your queue lasts longer than 5 mins you WILL get into a mixed battle where both sides have russian and american.
if it were to happen it really wont change much of anything the only thing that will change is both sides would be considered equal instead of “its Germany they will have slower tanks than me.” and more about reaching power positions and adapting to whoever is Infront of you. No nation has an identity like they did in 2014 now all nations have access to such a variety of different vehicles most of which are copy pasted.
