War Thunder "Line of Contact" - Changelog

Has anyone been having tracking issues on some earlier radars? I’m playing the Swiss Mirage III and F-106, and both of them are having issues tracking targets in seemingly good conditions.

Also, can we please have an option to get rid of this? I don’t need to be told that I have boosters that I equipped.

game keeps crashing non stop with the newest updates!
i have a 5800x3d 9070xt and ddr4 3600mhz strix b550-f, all newest gpu and chipset drivers and bios! been crashing randomly all the time with newest updates!

And who knows what the joke is - on American tanks I can easily break a Tiger’s track with an anti-aircraft machine gun, but on a Japanese one, for example, I can’t. Do I need to buy something or what?

What a terrible bug! If the missiles don’t show up in the hangar, you probably won’t even know they’re there?

Man this update allowing me to enjoy other ground top tiers through my air tech tree’s has showed me three things.

First anything in the 11.0-12.0 range should fear god as instead of 1-2 Pantsirs ever being used in a lobby there is now 8 active at the same time when players die not against this just funny observation.

Second not having a turret basket makes your tank in most situations much more fun and essentially better, I was enjoying stock T-80’s, MSC 10x more than any 11.0 or higher Abrams simply because when i eventually get Gaijined I have the ability to keep in the fight or punish bad shots. (side note does the autoloader on the T-80 not create any spall or something, cause I was shot in the autoloader a few times and my crewed didn’t even turn yellow or red, this is a genuine question for anyone with an answer.)

Lastly, wow I assumed all the cope about how teammate skill is always at fault for US win rate was just as I said COPE, no it isn’t the few matches on Russia and France STOCK were some of my most fun and consistently won matches, real question is how do you even solve that problem.

(Also Gaijin for the love of god either implement turret baskets properly, or turn of the middle section damaging the turret drive or its ability to create spall, or Implement it on the already existing top tier vehicles like I understand adding it with the newer vehicles releases, (I’m not against this), but the only MBT’s that have it are ones that came out after this update and the m1/leopard and that matters considering most of what they face are tanks from 1 year ago before they were added.)

Shooting the autoloader does not create spall and does not takeout horizontal drive. The turret basket was a nerf not a way to make NATO tanks more IRL

oh yes I’m aware of their reasoning,( if I recall correctly a lot of shots could go through and hit nothing due to some low spall rounds or rounds that were actually good.)

my own rant again:
However partially in there defence, unlike the USSR where they do have a sometimes stupid front armour aspect sometimes, if shot from the side with a good shot at the carousal you have essentially a guaranteed instant kill or full disable, where however unless the tanks has its turret facing the front there was 0 shots that instantly stopped it being a threat or allowed it to be insta killed thx to fast reload back then was it was the only 5sec if I remembered correctly.

IMO I felt this was kinda balanced them as opposites one was very trolly in front facing matchups or QCB where there is very little flanking each other as MBT’s while the Abrams was more susceptible to being taken out or delayed easily in the front or close range while giving more ambush protection that really only punishes people who don’t aim for either the commander breach shot or turret ring shot.

However them being balanced against each other doesn’t apply to all sides i.e. Britain, France, “Italy”, and Israel who were worse at both and didn’t have as good a round as the soviets or the Leopards, so I do think it did have to at some point happen they, just implemented it horribly and then followed it up with a similar mechanic that they decided would have 0 affect until all were modeled which is actually my own personal grievance outside how slow they have been to apply it to other

I definitely knew the last part, I wonder why it doesn’t like a similar thing has now happened with the terminators their ammo belts cant be racked like other for some reason I wonder if their struggling to code these features and just leave them for bug fixes 2 years later or if they have some internal balancing reason for it, cause its not bias most the time I think they just have a fundamental misunderstanding of how vehicles will play in game or how strong they are.

Do we have numbers or at least more details on this? And does it definitely affect AP? I was under the impression it affected HEAT, HE and HESH rather than AP, Would love to have this clarified.

It’s not really cope, at least not fully. Pretty much all the Abrams tanks in game, except for maybe the SEPv2 before you could take off TUSK II, are incredibly strong if the player has even the slightest idea of what they are doing. And that is exactly where the problem lies.

I did some top tier US games the night before the updste released and I was absolutely stomping Russian top tier teams on the ground. It only became problematic once they started spawning CAS.

The new mechanic with the “free” extra tanks seems nice on paper, but with only stock ammo and NO repairs respawning in those vehicles is just extra suffering.

After using the mechanic once and running into the issue with the repairs, I will never use it again.

Yeah they really should either be spaded by default, get the essentials (parts, thermals, LRF, ammo) or at the very least have the modifications you own for the vehicle if you have it.

A set of additional countermeasures has been installed. Where are the rest in the game itself?
Can you release at least ONE patch and not screw up???

Why does this work ONLY IN THIS combination if everything is different in the weapons designer???

Its a bug, restart the client a couple of times or play some matches with something else. Went through the same with the pids+ on the F-16AM myself…

This new damage system makes most of my hits worthless. “Critical” or “Hit” couldn’t possibly mean less these days. Majority of air battles in the new update for me:
