Is there any problem with sound? I cant use my sound mod as game doesnt even allow me to activate sound mod button(which it doesn even appear as it should be).
Edit: NVM, for some reason gaijin has been changed my all settings to default, including config files.
Can we get this reversed? Or at least limited to rain and storm? I know Gaijin is based in Europe and the EU believes just about any mildly inconvenient weather like a slight drizzle is world ending but being forced to do a ground take off because the clouds are a wee bit grey is well…just silly. Its a video game where you can pull a long 13G turn and not have your pilot suffer serious brain damage. I think we should be able to have an air start in a bit of inconvenient weather.
(I have not been playing matches with this mechanic yet, fwiw) So, spectating this from the sidelines, I LOVE “bad” weather in the game. Air/Land/Sea, all of them. LOVE it. HOWEVER, imo I do not think even 50% of the matches should be forced to do a land takeoff. Maybe 30% is reasonable? And/or I think I would agree that limiting it to real rain/storm/snow would be reasonable too.
Lul, gotta complain about something though 😂 I do appreciate posts where players stay respectful/reasonable though. I like how @MokaMoki 's wrote their post, even though the post is a bit of a meme, complaining about “everything”.
I 100% agree. These skins are iconic for these aircraft, and teasing us with these just to take them away hurts the fabric between players and developers. Faith with Gaijin is low right now, so please don’t make it harder between us, especially after the buggy and unpolished launch.
Honestly would love for more historical skins like these, alongside the likes of F-15J(M)'s Snow Camo or even the Su-30 Russian Knights. It’s such a shame that Gaijin is retracting these skins from us.
Guy made a report that 10-meter error on IOG+GNSS bombs also affected regular GNSS bombs(because this change is simply isn’t in changelog).
Closed as “not an error.”
So, what do we do now, after anonymous, barely competent “bugreport manager #1”(is notorious by how bad he is, probably a well-known individual) closes this stuff which renders a lot of bombs unsuable as “not an eror”?
First of all, whilst we appreciate you may be frustrated, there is no need to fire insults off at staff. This in no way will aid the situation.
Bug Report Manager #1 is the assigned name given to the first moderator who actions any report. If a second mod comments, they become 2, then 3 and so on. It is not a pre set designation as you claimed and not “the same person every time”.
This is a Russian report handled by the Russian team. I cannot see what materials were attached or the full context of this report from the screenshot. So it would be best for the person who made the report to contact the Russian mod team.
Report literally says that GNSS bombs are also affected, despite changelog only mentioning IOG+GNSS, and this so-called “manager” just comes in and closes it as not a bug, without any explanation.
I don’t think doubting the competency of a employee in a corporation which has multi-million of profits in Euro is an insult.
I dont really have a problem with CAS. It has a place and Gaijin, in my opinion, has already taken meaningful steps towards balancing it with higher spawn costs for powerful anti-tank missiles and more powerful SPAAs. If moving aircraft from air starts to ground was a balancing move, then the weather shouldn’t matter. All aircraft in all weather would start from the ground. But its just “bad weather” and two-thirds of said weather isn’t actually bad.
This isn’t complaining to complain, its calling out bad logic and implementation.
Edit: I wouldn’t even say bad logic, but questionable. Overcast is not bad weather.
Not at all, we understand that emotions and frustrations are high. There is no denying that and we do not discredit any opinion or feedback of any kind on the subject.
We are following all of it.
That however is not a justification to start insulting staff or community team members.
Interesting system. I wonder how bad faith bug report managers are held… I guess the term in “good faith” or accountable? I feel like a majority of players here know why Gaijin changed to this naming structure; one particular bug manager routinely shutting down certain nations’ reports seemingly for abritary reasons. I personally doubt there was a change up in staff but how would any player know after that event? But how do players know their reports aren’t being subjected to the same but rebranded treatment? I can certainly see why there would be frustration at the bug reporting system.
To clarify tone; I am not trying to sound hostile in case my message is coming across as such. More of a curiosity. Not trying to throw hate or shade, Smin.
If for any reason you believe an answer is not acceptable or a mistake has been made, we have a report system where you can report the post. Even if its staff:
This will then come to myself for the Tech mods, or the relevant equivalents in the Alpha Test and QA teams if it was by one of their staff members too (as not just Tech Mods operate on the CBR)
Failing this, you can also come directly to me via PM to escalate something if its not resolved by the above or by first contacting a Tech / Senior Tech mod.
And it will get ignored just like 90% of bug reports that are legit.
I have 19 bug reports currently opened, 19… one of them for example is that I got charged for getting teamkilled even tho I had premium account and I went - in SL that battle because I got charged for a vehicle repair… this happened 5 days after War Thunder implemented new economy changes including not getting charged for a vehicle repair when getting teamkilled.
That bug report is more than a year old, I think maybe even 2 years and it’s left to rot on a bug reporting page, not a single response from anyone, I provided all of the information, game client version, server replay link and screenshot of the killfed as well as end battle result where it is clearly visible that I got charged for a vehicle repair.
Smin… you are a community manager, you are our voice towards developers and other War Thunder staff, you have to be under some sort of agreement to shift you focus 100% in defending all War Thunder staff from any feedback and ignore any negative feedback we have about some change developers made.
Can you explain me why do we have to spend hundreds of hours researching potentionaly classified information, opening the proper bug report that doesn’t get rejected by bug reporting managers and even when we open a proper bug report, the same gets ignored for years to come by same bug reporting managers? And all of that work wasted because of what? Because someone in development team decided to make a change without any reason let alone source where it states the speciric weapon works the way it does.
