Unfortunately the snail is too biased
Please correct the camo for the CS/SA5. The camo should be on the missile launchers as well.
So the current lack of accucacy for GPS weapons can be reported?
What evidence is needed for such reports. Because at the moment ,every single GPS weapon having 10m of drift just feel… deliberate.
It is especially annoying as the main modes affected by this change are the air modes and A2G weapons are already massively nerfed within those gamemodes for the sake of GRB
You have accounts from Typhoon by Mike Sutton of GPS guided Paveways IVs able to hit the exact precise spot needed, twice in a row.
in-game this probably wouldnt be possible and it rather defeats the point of GPS to have such drift. Whats the point of GPS when its just as bad as IOG, actually come to think of it. IOG has 0 drift so is IOG now more accurate than GPS?
Firing off insults is unfortunately not going to progress any subject in any constructive manor. Please consider this a warning.
Then respond in a constructive manner other than “Oh yeah, it’s actually on you lot instead of us for botching a fair simulacrum that accounts for us missing information and the plausible classified nature of any precise information regarding upcoming munitions”. As far as I see it, you lot are generally not keeping good faith with the playerbase regarding this change.
The change was unnecessary, and yet it has gone through. The change hinders nations with stricter confidentiality than others, yet it has gone through, in spite of history demonstrating the issue with this and your game. Assuming you are an honest person, surely you can see the issue here and reasonably could understand why we either want it reverted, or if we are going for accuracy, have it implemented across the game once accurate information is found.
Sorry but thats not how things operate. You do not get to simply ignore forum rules because you dont agree with an answer. Everyone else follows the same rules.
There is no justification for insults regardless of how you feel. Please keep discussions civil and respectful at a basic level. Otherwise we cannot help you at all.
Okay, great. Sure.
Now provide the information we’re asking after, lest you prove me correct. It seems incredibly ill boding that you will not provide a response to the actual query and instead are deflecting because I happen to be blunt in my approach to it.
Why was the decision made to make GPS guided weapons less accurate than IOG guided bombs?
It seems a completely random and arbitary change that likely has 0 basis in reality for most nations. Unless Russian sources for their GLONASS System which is apparently very unreliable is being used to nerf US GPS or European Galileo systems
GPS can be accurate to within centremetres - Source
GPS and Ground Support are cool and all but… when will you guys fix the Air to Air rockets ?
SMIN you cant expect every single weapon to have it’s accuracy modeled as what it should be IRL.
Why are the dev team just creating more work for themselves by making these stupid changes to gameplay? Let me just dig out my book of classified sources on Paveway IV and Brimstone.
There has to be a common sense approach, to the unintiated this change once again impacts none Russian nations…
We have a thread with information on how accurate european/american kit is. If they’re modeling the deviation based on protocol, then European armament should be hitting within ~50cm according to said thread, which given it was assembled by directsupport, I am willing to assume is quite thoroughly documented.
So this change is incredibly questionable and the fact they won’t respond to the why with a focus on my being blunt about their poor decision is incredibly ill boding for how well they will respond to bug reports from the playerbase.
The team are currently investigating this issue and working on it.
will there be a patch note for when it get’s fixed ? or should we just try to guess if it’s fixed or not when a patch releases ?
the 10m dispersion for gps i can again, accept under pretense of “balance” but surely not with the argument of realism
We would announce when it is.
I can only surmise it’s to stop TGP marking the map and dropping bombs on spawns using GPS guidance, giving the new SAMS a chance.
What a smart company would do is remove that map marking feature from the game. Instead of arbritary changes to all GPS munitions.
@Smin1080p_WT
Hi smin
There is any plans to buff/fix the spyder?
In its current state it cant be 12.0
friend and me discussed something like that yesterday, i think a better way might be seperate spawns for SPAA, multiple across the map , the new SPAAs have no business beeing on the main battlefield, they are just way to large, “just move out of spawn” gets you killed faster by a enemy tank than you can blink
Hi
Its not clear what you mean by this. If there are specific reports in question in need of forwarding, please feel free to link them and we can make sure any valid reports get passed along.
Its very unlikely there would be any drastic changes to a vehicle or anything as the update has only been out for a day and the data is not yet sufficient.
Are the breaking sim bugs also being treated with the priority?
Having some acknowledgement and communication would be great:
Spotting issues changing with the update making it nearly impossible if not outright impossible to spot enemy aircraft.
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/Ju1vFZNRaOY4
Relaxed-stability aircraft being nearly impossible to use due to SAS mode not working
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/6QSupDVCXoIl
Please, just a single word of acknowledgement that sim isn’t going to be ignored for weeks while we have significant bugs impeding our ability to play.
