War Thunder Launching on Wrong Display (MacBook Pro + External Monitor)

Hi,

I’m playing War Thunder on a MacBook Pro connected to an external monitor. I’m having an issue where the game launches randomly either on the built-in Retina display or the external monitor.

I noticed that if I click anywhere on a screen immediately after pressing “Play” in the WT Launcher, the game will start on that screen — which helps force it onto the external monitor. So that part is manageable.

The bigger issue, however, is that the external monitor must be set as the “main display” in macOS for the game to work properly. If the Retina display is set as the main one, the mouse cursor will “escape” the game window when I move it too far — like it’s not being properly confined to the game area.

This creates a real problem because many macOS apps don’t remember which display they were last used on. So when my external monitor is the main display, several apps keep opening there even though I try to keep them on the MacBook screen — it’s really frustrating.

Any idea if there’s a workaround or fix for this behavior?

Just trying to keep my cursor on one screen while juggling tanks and, at the same time, making real money.

So yeah, getting the cursor or apps to stay on the right screen DOES matter.

Otherwise, trust me — I wouldn’t waste my time asking.
