War Thunder is Going to die in 2-4 Years

There would be many more complaints if they restricted decorations by time period

These arguments are disingenuous. The ones making them KNOW they are, and that’s what’s annoying.

And that’s only Steam- every day, more and more people switch from Steam to the proper, standalone War Thunder launcher.

There’s 110,000-140,000 people online on average (144,000 right now) and, during events or after updates, we go past 210,000.

It never goes below 90,000.

The highest record was just last year when it hit 260,000, if I recall correctly.

Not really, you just refuse to see others perspectives. Not everything is “ragebait”

When did I call anything ragebait?

Body pillows = historical is a disingenuous argument. People’s perspectives can be skewed/inaccurate/made so by bias or agenda.

And I am saying it’s a disingenuous argument because it’s only being made to “win.”

And considering your extreme obsession with responding to me everywhere you see me, yes, you clearly do wish to ragebait. I’m a favored target of yours. Why even deny it? You won’t leave me in peace. You won’t let a comment go. You don’t even care about the subject matter; only that I commented. I really wish you’d ignore me.

I didn’t even reply to you in this thread, you replied to me

My feelings stand, besides here, since yes I did respond to you; I’d wish you’d ignore me. And you absolutely do try to “ragebait” me. You’re not going to push me off these forums.

It really doesn’t. In that case, we shouldn’t have events, sales, major updates, decorations, decals, tournaments, etc. because they aren’t as big as a priority as making everything as it was in real life. Why spend your time on a trailer when you can just add the stuff of course! It’s almost like a company has different teams to do different things to appeal to their community.

A game can be serious and also have some non-serious aspects. My dad is a pretty serious guy, doesn’t mean he can’t throw a little joke out there. I mean, if this was a true serious game then there wouldn’t be April Fools updates, silly gamemodes (Football) or really any fictional decals, decorators, even designations and vehicles in some cases.

This whole notion of “War Thunder is gonna die” “The game is losing players” is literally a talking point towed by people on these forums since the game’s inception, and its always been false. If anything Gaijin Entertainment’s abject greed and borderline predatory business practices is an indicator that this game still has long way to go.

War thunder is Gaijin Entertainment’s cash cow, the same way Grand Theft Auto is for Rockstar and Call of Duty is for Activision. Without War Thunder, there is no Gaijin Entertainment; and their decisions and direction they’ve taken the game in the most recent years are indicative of that. New sub-tech trees, clandestine event vehicles, flamboyant updates curtailed to one vehicle highly sought after by the player base (A-10, F-2, F-14, etc.) continue to retain returning players and draw in new ones. War Thunder continues to increase the amount of concurrent players year after year.

I don’t think they’ll die in another 2-4 years. Though I do think there will be another community uproar at some point. Either at copy-paste, the new tech-tree vehicles bloating the tree and undoing all the foldering Gaijin did in the past, or over rewards again. The latter is likely. It looks like Gaijin are making medals more difficult for no reason.

Gonna guess the uproar will be probably the next major update depending on what gaijin decides to add.

Probably the most likely things to be added are Submarines, Infantry, or Harms. (Possibly ECM)
Other then these, maybe 5th gens?

(Most likely gonna have another economy silent nerf if we follow past examples)

Not shure what you mean with that? What is wrong with the german TT? Tho it is true, that the German TT attract many new players, if not simply due to history and WW2. OH Tiger I lovely!

Man I feel the forums haven’t been this bad in a long time, if ever. So much ragebait everywhere I turn. Plus I feel like I haven’t seen a new suggestion in a while.

I honestly at this point feel a no-ragebait policy or no-clickbait policy must be instillled, or just regulate the forum to only being about things ingame and suggestions only

The game has absolutley peaked (unless infantry is added and it works well) and gaijin has seen a drop in revenue (probably from the sunk cost fallacy of the chinese market as its not worked out for them yet)

However that isnt a bad thing the game is going to pop out of existence for several years still. Im sure it will plateau out to a still gigantic number well into the 2030s

More seriously…most games will eventually reach a “top” where most interested players are already playing it…or at least the ones getting in are close to the ones getting out :)
From experience with other games, this “top” can last a very long time…

Things that make an impact…BIG development blunders (negative), GREAT new features (positive)…a MAJOR change in strategy (can go either way :) ).
