I don’t know which game you’re talking about. Battlefield 4? Damage models are too simple for my taste.
Infantry will have soldiers, tanks, helicopters and planes. Which is more than Arma Reforger and Squad, neither of which have planes.

for me war thunder can do infantry justice
we all know the current situation with EA, with Ubisoft, with all those games, i refuse to belive war thunder is a vehicle game only, i belive its a combined arms game, it has ship,s tanks, helicopters, tanks, ifvs, and so on, multiple nations and sub factions, no other games have that to this level, last thing they need is infantry then all branches are complete, out of all the companies i have learnt to trust gajjin more, atleast they wont fire hunred of staff like certain companies did and make games much worse, people forget that
from the looks of it they said they will start from korean war and go up to modern era, that is incredible huge, people either dont care or realize how big of a factor this is for the FPS genre, a proper shooter that istn getting fucked by EA or Call of duty? thats a game i wanna play, i was massivly dissapointed with battlefield 6 and Call of duty black ops 7, sure you have Squad, you have Hell let Loose, you have all the others but they aint really fast phased, they dont have alot of the countries war thunder has, i dont know of much games that has for example, Modern France, Modern China, Isreal, Italy, specially Sweden when it comes to infantry
by the looks of it there will also be two modes, those of us who are more familar with enlisted squads, and if this test goes sucsesfull, hopefully player vs player only, now thats a key to sucsess if you ask me, and the fact that war thunder is free to play as well is another huge deal, meanwhile battlefield cost like 60 dollars, and you can play war thunder fully for free if you want, thats why i feel the gatekeeping by the infantry haters aint fair, its like they are allergic to it, yet nothing is changing for them, the you can play any mode you want too, infantry wont be in ground tanks, so i do not see the big deal of what the infantry haters is doing in the end
i forgot to mention as well that most likely what this will also allowed is more infantry based vehicles like humvees, range rovers, making IFVs more useful, thats yet another win for vehicle players, they just have to balance them so that infantry is stronger then vehicles, tanks istn invincible beasts against inf
i used to be an hardcore battlefield fan back in the days until i heard war thunder is adding infantry so then my loyalty shifted XD

Can you double check this? as Oxy said in the currently ongoing stream that there is console testing in the current test session as well
we’ll be able to use JETS sometime in the future in the Infantry mode?

I will have to get lucky to see if I will like the infantry mode I’m positive about it (I made most of the discussion posts about infantry in game discusion)
There are many things I am looking to suggest
- Robots
- Light Vehicular Transport (plus jet pack)
- airborne elements
- Buildable defenses

hopefully there is a infantry support equipment line for these things where it sits in the back like in enlisted. There are so many vehicles which are too lightly armed to be used now in game but for infantry it can. The Rook is something I want to see USA tree will never be the same.
I hope they have similar plans for helicopters. Would allow for a lot more helicopters to be added as they would be much more suited for this mode.

There are no planes and they aren’t planned for BRs that have helicopters.
I don’t know. I have no behind the scenes information. They mentioned during the livestream “in a couple of days”.
