I’m not really cut out for Sim, to be honest, hahah. I generally prefer 3rd person casual gameplay over a near full fledged simulation experience (also applies to ground).
Maybe the new modes they are working on for Air will make it feel better and refreshing once (if) implemented! As long as gameplay is something more other than playing lottery with missiles and having to dodge 500 of them…
I like fighter jets, I am just not very passionate about the current gameplay loop, so maybe that will fix it.
And, hopefully, they will do the same with ground, if (and it’s a big IF) they ever remember it exists lmao
I hope I’ll get to enjoy either these new hypothetical modes or infantry soon. I really want to enjoy War Thunder again.

Same, third time I applied and still no invite, the rollout must be extremely slow or it only selects a small batch per test.
You only need to apply once, you shouldn’t even be able to apply more than once since you apply for the account you’re logged in to to join as soon as selected no matter when.

which is not much if looking at war thunders huge player base
I don’t know what to think. Game ended in minutes. 3 hitmarkers on an enemy with dmr on a close range, he fell down, not counted as eliminated, or assist, nothing. Just to be vaporized a second later by a tank. Graphic optimization is… meh, and not having the chance to switch to ulq for a smoother gameplay it’s something I don’t understand! Having to hold the button to aim is another thing I highly dislike, couldn’t find on controls a command for toggle. So far not a great experience.
Not every player has a forum account that can be added to the infantry role and section. There are likely many more players added to the CBT that don’t have an account on the forum and wont be seen in the role list.

I didn’t apply for the wrong one right? It says 2025.
It is once you log in to the forums. But you can play the game without ever logging in to the forum and thus not have a forum account. It’s linked and uses the same login details but I’ve seen players with thousands of games that are marked as “joined a few hours ago” on the forum.

i noticed that when I missed “the old guard” title, joining the forum months later I started playing the game. Such a weird thing tbh.
