War Thunder "Hornet's Sting" - Changelog

I would assume second update this year because thats usually a pretty huge update. GRB is in really big need of way better AA and way better rewards…

the rapier is so bad it takes 4 missiles to kill an il28 in the test drive

So two or three more months of allowing Kh-38 throwers to sit behind a defensive wall that quite literally no other nation can combat or counter since the SPAA that grants such exists in only a single tree. Then they should soft nerf it to the stats of the ADATS until then.

But that feedback is just ignored by the evidence before us.

I actually like the Naval AB aiming changes, HOWEVER, the BB’s MUST be decompressed to at LEAST 8.0 immediately. I am getting one shot in my heavy cruisers now from BB’s that I don’t even have time to hit. That is the biggest issue in naval now.

DECOMPRESS NAVAL, NOW. It has been YEARS of BB’s (and the Scharn) ruining matches for lineups at 6.0/6.3. Enough is enough!!!

EDIT: The comments about the naval compression issues are widespread:

I dont think its fair to let us wait. However, the pantsir isnt amazing in the current meta. The pantsir is just decent and the rest is trash 💀

Yes. The TOR is russian. IIRC they said they would add it for russian tech tree when they added the chinese one… Hasnt happened yet though…

Lmao

They also gave Russian jets thrust vectoring and a cobra button before the Harrier (the first plane to do these things historically)

Did they fix VT-5 armor?

We need a system that rewards players for distraction other players in aircraft and setting them up to be killed.

The one who cleans up gets all the rewards for the kill, which is unfair.

I’m only really familiar with WW2 combat aircraft, and more “scientific” jet pursuits (weird experimental by NASA/NACA).

The chaff resistance buff to gen 3 fighters - what fighters does this affect?

Are the Mig-21 and F8E part of this? Information I can find on fighter generations indicates gen 1 is WW2/post-war experimental stuff, gen 2 is korea and gen 3 is vietnam.

maybe the one-shot is also supported by the new aiming “system”… as everyone needs no skill to aim at ammo storage or other critical points.
What was wrong in the old system??

Harrier has had vectored thrust since it’s release in 2020. Harrier does not possess the AoA limiter switch or the means to effectively use such a limiter to make use of extreme AoA, which are the current two considerations when adding this feature to an aircraft.

Guys, you forgot to rotate the map selection again

So why are bug reports being denied for the F-14 to get the AoA limited switch?

For the same reasons as all others. Reports are currently not being accepted solely on the basis of the switch existing. There needs to be sufficient flight performance to support the presence of the AoA feature in game that would make it meaningful and useful and not simply just a crash for most people.

This may well change in the future.

Anyone else getting stuttering with the major update?
0% PL, 200+ FPS, still getting stutters

If pretty sure most would agree the F-14 fits this description…

It has the ability to turn off SAS and the first gen Harriers didn’t have any pitching limit.

The Harriers can pull in excess of 45 degrees AOA up to .5 Mach.

Thrust vectoring also increased ITR significantly, it does not in game.
