War thunder fps is suddenly low

help me i often play with around 110-120 fps in the game but today it dropped to 30-40 fps for some reason i updated all driver but nothing changed

i use laptop acer nitro 5 with rtx 3050 / intel core i5

also i just found out my gpu clock speed is much lower on war thunder only any other game is fine

Since the GPU clock is dropping only in War Thunder, I would first isolate the renderer and the per-game power profile rather than reinstalling everything.

  1. Disable DirectX 12, select DirectX 11, fully restart the client, and test the same scene again.
  2. Make sure the laptop is plugged in and NitroSense is using its performance profile.
  3. In Windows Graphics settings, set War Thunder to the High performance RTX 3050, not the Intel iGPU.
  4. In the NVIDIA per-game profile, test Prefer maximum performance.
  5. Check that the FPS limiter, render resolution, DLSS/TSR/FSR and SSAA settings did not change.

If DX11 restores the normal clock and frame rate, that strongly suggests a renderer-specific issue. If it does not, please attach a DxDiag, the latest .clog from an affected session, and screenshots showing GPU usage, temperature, power and clock speed. Those details would be much more useful than another generic driver reinstall.

thank you guys it has something to do with nvidia or something cause i switched to directx 11 and then i downgraded my driver then i updated it again and the game is back to normal now
