I was mistaken, the PT-76B only gets a 200mm pen heat round, which is slightly less bullshit, but the Chinese get the Type 63 with a 300mm pen heat round, which is what I was thinking of
You can tell yourself it’s the same, but it really, really isn’t.
But if it is… Then just do it. Play the PVKV IV at 7.7 or 8.0 for 15 matches, then link the replays here. I’ll wait.
Also you chose to uptier the 15cm, but in this scenario, players would not have a choice. If it was a 6.7 vehicle how many people do you think would bother to spawn it?
I’ve barely done anything with the Swedish tree, so I couldn’t even if I really wanted to waste the effort
With the Tiger being what it is, why would I ever bother to spawn it when I know the enemy will almost certainly be able to ignore the armor because I always get uptiered with it?
Addition: hell, even at it’s own BR and lower there’s several tanks that will punch right through a Tiger H/E’s frontal armor at any reasonable angle
My brother in Christ, this is a PVP game. You cannot structurally play it without other people. Their enjoyment is your enjoyment.
More importantly you cannot control other people’s behaviours. Just like I can’t get you to even test your daft idea now because you can’t be arsed to grind Sweden.
If I give you a choice between the T-54 and the PVKV, you will choose the T-54 every time, because it’s simply a better vehicle.
Eventually you get a lobby full of T-54s and no PVKVs in sight.
If no one plays the PVKV, then it’s pointless to have it in the game. The time that went into modelling and implementing it is wasted. So is the money. There is no sane alternative to letting it drop to a BR where it is worth playing.
You shrugging and saying essentially “not my problem” is why your idea is impossible to take seriously. You are suggesting a change that would instantly nuke half the Swedish tech tree, and your response to that observation is to just shrug because you don’t play it so what do you care?
Well guess what, if you don’t care about other players and their experience, they can also not care about you. Keep dying to M-51s.
That is because the Tiger is pretty mobile for a heavy - especially the E - and has a fantastic gun. Don’t play it like a bullet sponge. It’s a tank that shines if you flank hard, or if you engage from a distance. It’s a heavy cruiser tank.
Guns like the 85mm were specifically introduced to tackle it. So even if you went with “historical matchmaking” you still would not play it the same way that you play a KV-1 at 4.3 in a full downtier. So what the hell are we talking about? Nuke entire minor nation tech trees so you can play your Tiger the exact same way that you have to play it now?
My absolute favorite match up. A tier 3 vs my tier 1.
I don’t care about the experience of players given an unfair advantage over me when I’m using WW2 vehicles and they are using shit made far later that if it isn’t viable against others from it’s own time period, never should have been added in the first place to a PvP game
Aggressively farts
If you think it’s an unfair advantage, go ahead and show us. Play these amazing vehicles and show your lopsided stats in them. Put your money where your mouth is.
BR is based on vehicle performance. If these tanks really had an unfair advantage over you, it would be reflected in their stats and they would go up in BR. So the burden of proof is on you. Bring evidence of what you claim.
And there it is.
I appreciate the clarification and acknowledge it.
200mm HEATFS isn’t really the same as even 190mm APHE, or even 220 - 250mm penning APHE seen at 5.3 - 7.0 on various tanks.
Even 300mm HEATFS is less effective against say Super Pershing than an APHE round notably worse in penetrative force.
APCR, despite having amazing pen from the 90mm platform, will shatter on spaced armor and extreme angles. Its post-pen is slight better than HEATFS as well.
And of course casemate vs actual turreted main tank are different situations as well.
I’d recommend playing these HEAT armed vehicles and get use to them. Come to your own conclusions after using them yourself.
While something may seem strong against you, it could be that the person behind that monitor is someone that spent hundreds of hours memorizing ammo and crew positions, as well as spots on tanks that their ammo works.
Hm ah yea, PT-76 at 9.0 very realistic. My brother in Christ that doesn’t even make it viable.
Aggressively farts
:P
“br is based on vehicle performance”
If that was true no Stuka would be above BR 2.3, the M4A2 would be the same BR as the other earlier 75mm armed Shermans, and few if any multi-engine bombers would be above BR 3.0
It really is the only appropriate response to this drivel, you’re right.
Can you two stop fighting.
Bro, Statshark is a thing. You can go verify the “robustness” of this hypothesis right now.
Solution: remove coldwar and newer vehicles from WT and make it a separate game
Yup. Shitting their argument out and into the septic tank.
Another solution is just removing your account.
What?
If we’re being flippant about purging stuff with no consideration for other players, that can cut both ways 😌
