War Thunder Anti-Cheat System Update

Yeah most important OUR (me and you players) data is irrelevant, aint nobody cares what my or your names are or adresses or anything… so yeah plese collect all data just make game fair without cheaters end of discussion

Speak only for yourself. And don’t cry when the police raids your home because your identity data was used for credit card/wire fraud, and all logs show that your computer hardware IDs were used to facilitate it.

yeah dont worry about me Im not suffering from “Main Character” complex/delusion…

You don’t think EAC spied on you…?
You don’t think Gaijin sells your data? Or buys your data to make their systems even more enticing…?
You don’t think that Gaijin has done the same thing as

??
They are a Russian founded-Russian controlled company, based in Cyprus/wherever… its a game every single company plays lololol

Are you in the EU? I can speak for US but your data is already out there homie. Every single Social Media account you’ve ever created, bank statements, credit card usage, loan details, education details, phone numbers, addresses, is already available and sold by companies.

Your CPU also has built in backdoors for whatever government is in control of the country that produced them. The NSA has a file for everyone with everything you have ever done online or text/calls even on TOR or VPN. At this point who gives a shit?

I’d rather have an anticheat that verifies my biometrics and state ID before I log in and scans everything without any consent so that it might actually fucking work than have some false sense of “im private and no one knows what I’m doing :^)”

The only things these AC prevent is rage hacking, there is still going to be the same amount of cheaters within a month or two.

Maybe not, but you might be suffering from naivety. No problem, you can do whatever the heck you want. But you have no right to decide for others what they have to deem important or not. Because if you assume you have say in that whatsoever, maybe you do suffer from main character syndrome yourself.

You want a game company to have all of your information.

You either don’t understand what you are saying or are completely delusional.

What happens when the company is hacked? Your cards, passwords, address, name, all of that. You really want anyone to steal your money and commit crimes in your name? All that to ban a few people from cheating?

I am in the EU, and in Germany at that, we have stricter privacy laws. And even if others may already have some data of me, it doesn’t mean that it’s a good thing to carelessly hand it out to everyone in the world.

If you think otherwise, then prove it:
Give me your real name, real adress, real credit card information right now in this thread. Won’t do it? Then you prove my point!

They already do, or have access to to at any point, so its kind of irrelevant.

What happens when any company gets hacked?

He wants the company to have all his information, everything he’s ever logged or saved onto his computer. All those passwords, everything.

That’s massively different than what they have now.

I am not a multi-national, billion dollar organization. You have no reason to use or have my data.

ON THE OTHER HAND

Gaijin, being what I said above, ABSOLUTELY wants and needs your data.

I think he was making a bit of a hyperbole. Battleye CANNOT and WILL NOT access that lmfao. They are not a cookie-stealer malware lmao. They would use data that would relate to your system, and the game.

And you know this … how? Because they claim it?
This is why I am asking for a DSGVO certificate for example. Someone external verifying that at some point, the applicable privacy law was followed. And in case something happens later on, one more entity to sue.

The thing is: It’s part of the contract I will have with Gaijin in the future. If you don’t care about it: fine. You do you. But nobody here has the right to tell me what I should care for in the contracts I enter into. It’s that simple, therefore EOD.

Re-read what he said.

He says he is ok with a system taking all of his data to ban cheaters, this conversation isn’t about what Battleye can and can’t access.

Because I work in Technology, and understand how anti-cheats, companies, and data work…lol

Hyperbole.

people are staying on topic, the messages above are talking about BEAC having an exploit where it can let hackers ban other users

that is very crucial information in a post announcing that WT is moving to BEAC

You want to post the DSGVO from Easy AntiCheat, since you’re very concerned?

I’ve interacted with him before, I can assure you it was not
