I’ve noticed missiles are exploding on flares/chaff now which is nice.

i’ve seen several sources that show otherwise (can’t find them now but i’ll gladly search harder if requested). Unless they have changed it in recent patches.

something I find really sad about this patch is the fact that the UK still hasent received a top tier light tank or IFV, I was also hoping to see the AS90 as it would have been very fun and as the Type 99 with L15A2 has shown would be very good

Flare early and drop burners and you should be decoying them left right and centre, unless you’re flying something that has a really high temp at mil power, like the F-14?
They’re among the easiest out of the top tier missiles to decoy imo.
Do agree with your earlier point about the R-27ER, whilst i’m not usually a victim of them… for some reason, they’re not fun to defend against.
We hope and pray for the day where we get a Ajax that isnt like the irl one, and CVR(T)s

Out of all R-73, i have only decoyed maybe 20%,… and 10% other were fired out of missile enveloppe.
But outside of that, i have hard time to flare out those missiles in Any Mirage 2000C or -5F

Playing Swedish toptier up from stock right now, yes, I didn’t really feel much of a difference when going from DM33 to m/95 or DM53 since I’m targeting the same weakspots anyway.
They probably hit your turret ring or gun mantlet, not the front plate.
Flare alot and maneuver. A single pop or two and a slight turn likely won’t fool an R73. Flaring a bunch, then turning hard usually helps. if you only start flaring when the missile has you in top aspect and your flares drop downwards, it probably won’t even see them.
Nope. Definitely goes through turret cheeks. Theres some fucked code or invisible weakspots. Feels awesome to have a TURMS T72 front pen your M1A1 AIM at its thickest spot

There are definitely a couple good players among them, but alot of them are easy to deal with. Especially those that unironically think USSR is op so they can just hold W and center mass everyone, until someone wait for them and shreds their gun or they run into a Strv122 or 2A7V and bounce.
That highly sounds like they penetrate your gun mantlet or turret ring and the round goes through your blast doors. The M1s have much bigger turret racks, all across the back, so it’s easier to hit them through the mantlet or turret ring.
Yeah, that’s a bug going around, happens to me sometimes too. it’s annoying.

Come on bro,… i play since 2013 and i know how to decoy things out,… but the R-73 Still is my nemesis.
(My primary still stand → where is Magic-II Abilities, since the IRCCM is copy pasted from R-73,… give it Dual plane steering.
I have played quite a bit of top tier US after the update and they definitely can’t pen the Abrams turret cheeks. Unless you have some very convincing video proof.
it’s a missile bus. fly low and you won’t get hit by the R27s, flare well and you won’t get hit by the R73s. past that, the Su27s flight performance, compared to an F-15, Mirage4000 or Gripen is terrible, especially when it’s still loaded with most of those very heavy missiles. If you get the jump on it there isn’t much it can do. Su27s are exceedingly great at punishing bad behaviour tho.
The exact data they want is likely classified so there really is nothing I can add :/
