War Thunder advertisement ideas

Dear Gaijin Entertainment team,

I would like to share an idea for a cinematic promotional video for War Thunder; I believe it could attract new players while highlighting the game’s unique features.

The video opens with a Sukhoi Su-33 flying through stormy weather on a routine mission. Suddenly, the aircraft’s radar and navigation systems malfunction. A brilliant beam of light engulfs the plane, transporting it back in time to the Soviet Union in 1941, during World War II.

The Su-33 landed safely at a Soviet airfield, where officers and soldiers rushed toward the mysterious aircraft. The pilot calmly introduced himself and warned them of the impending German invasion and the arduous years that lay ahead. He explained that future Soviet military hardware—such as the T-34-85 and the IS series of tanks—would play a crucial role in overcoming battlefield challenges. He also detailed the strengths and weaknesses of both the tanks and aircraft, astonishing everyone with his extensive knowledge.

Naturally, the officers wondered how he could possibly know all of this.

Without a word, the pilot opened his backpack, took out a modern laptop, and launched War Thunder. On the screen, the Soviet officers saw detailed models of historical tanks and aircraft, along with analyses of armor, internal components, and realistic combat simulations. The pilot demonstrated the operation of various vehicles, explaining their pros and cons directly within the game.

The scene then shifted to impressive War Thunder gameplay footage, showcasing vehicles from World War II, the Cold War, and the modern era, thereby highlighting the game’s remarkable diversity and realism.

The video concludes with the War Thunder logo and a message such as:

"History isn’t just for remembering.

It’s for experiencing.

War Thunder."

I believe a narrative-driven advertisement like this would capture viewers’ attention far more effectively than standard gameplay trailers. It blends drama, history, and War Thunder’s unique educational value in an impressive, cinematic way.

Thank you for taking the time to read my idea. I hope it might inspire future promotional content for War Thunder.

“I am still a new player (BR 1.7), but right from the start, I have been truly impressed by the game’s meticulous attention to detail, its historical vehicles, and its gameplay. That is precisely why I feel War Thunder deserves much more impressive promotional campaigns.” Sincerely,

A War Thunder player. (WT Account: goldhung. Email: [email protected]).

Thank you!

This sounds like a Russian/Soviet version of the 1980 movie Final Countdown.

I believe this belongs in suggestions but this is a pretty good idea gaijin making real interesting movies

Wouldn’t this whole time travel create a paradox? How the pilot warning about the German invasion, the creation of the T-34 medium tank was idealized by 1934 and the IS tank family by 1941. The idea is great, “Victory Is Ours” cinematic is truly a piece of art. Such complex scenario of time travelling would require a lot of time researching to be somewhat realistic. My idea instead is making the observer the time traveller, however this observer is powerless, they can only see, can’t interact or be touched by others. The observer see tanks, airplanes and vessels evolving throughout the eras and the cinematic naturally closing out with the War Thunder logo.

TCMM would do this so well…
Hint hint, @Cod
Sounds like a great idea.
