@TheFinalStarman do you have any stat tables for the r24mr like the one I just posted for the r24t/r
here a german source on it

Translation

- Hz is “Höhe Ziel” (Altitude target),
- Hj is “Höhe Jäger” (Altitude fighter),
- D is “Distanz” (distance)
- delta H is the overal difference in altitude

if you have any more translation questions just ping me
Is this a different source than the one cutetransrat used in her bug report about the bs modes.
I think the ones she used was in Russian
@EstrogenKitten
bc that german source only was digitalized not too long ago, because of a request @EstrogenKitten made
maybe i should ping him a 4th time just for fun
I am too lazy to write another bug report, Gaijin does not care about it and I am sure even if I poured energy into bug reporting it again it would be ignored/disregarded
Also if you want concrete proof that BS modes work in lookup too, this part is the most important

- Hz is “Höhe Ziel” (Altitude target)
- Hj is “Höhe Jäger” (Altitude fighter)
You can fight about the wordage of “should only be used when” but imo it is really irrelevant because we are playing a game and often, if not 99% of the time things are used in ways that they were never meant to be, so I dont see why gaijin is so damn stuborn about this. Especially since it is never specifically forbidden in the manual
Can you send the name of document, relevant pages and the cover page in dms? I’ll write up a report on it if you don’t want to. Can’t hurt to try
here’s some more info on p-24m

No, the only stats I had were the sources I cited. Good to see others have brought them up though.
Edit: I found a secondary source with technical data on the R-24M. I’ve added it to the post.
Source: “Авиация ПВО России и научно-технический прогресс”. 2005 г.
- Mass: 243kg
- Guidance: SARH+IOG
- Band: J
- Shoot down: front-aspect
- Lock Range: 35km
- Launch Range: 50km
- ECCM: Yes
- Maximum speed: 3.5M
- Overload: 26G
- Explosive Type: TGAF-5
- Explosive mass: 13kg
- TNT Equivalent: 20.8kg
- Launch boresight: +/- 55°
- Maximum target speed: 3,000 Km/H
- Maximum target overload: 7G
- Warhead weight: 35kg
- Warhead type: high-explosive expanding rod
- Warhead fuse: radio proximity fuse
- Minimum/Maximum target altitude: 0.04km (40m)/25km (25,000m)
- Minimum/Maximum launch distance, rear-aspect: 0.5km (500m)/19.5km (19,500m)
So, compared to the R-24R:
- Electronic Counter-Countermeasures (ECCM)
- More reliable tracking and maintaining target lock
- Longer lock range (35km vs. 24km)
- Slightly more overload (26G vs 24G)
- Better low-altitude launch and target lock characteristics
- Better launch boresight capabilities
Slightly heavier (243kg vs 237kg)Weighs the same
Have to get the MiG-23MLDG suggestion going
It did have all those things, but that information card is incorrect. The only Gardeniya-equipped Flogger built in 1982 was 23-35 - MiG-23MLG 23-37 and MiG-23MLS 23-47 were built in 1984, and 23-57 was built “in the late 1980s”. Frustratingly, it seems both 23-35 and 23-57 were called “MiG-23MLDG” (for some reason). I don’t know why, it’s incredibly confusing to figure out the names of these electronic warfare Floggers. I’ve seen 23-35 and 23-57 be called MLDG or MLGD - one person I read called 23-57 “MiG-23-57”, another source claimed both 23-37 and 23-57 were called MiG-23MLG. The production codes are the only way to tell the difference.
I’ve spent so much time looking at them that I already know what plane that card is next to, it’s 37 Red, which, again, I have seen people call an MLD, MLGD, MLDG, and even an MLG.
Best that I know - this is 23-57 in all her glory. Which is good, because 23-57 would get access to the R-24M and 23-35 wouldn’t - I also suspect, based on other things I’ve read, that 23-35 was built off the MiG-23MLA, not MLD (though the MLD was developed from the MLA anyway). I’ve also never seen any source state 23-35 would get HMS. The book “MiG”: A flight through time” - E.V. Arsenyev, N.O. Valuev, Yu.F. Polushkin (2020) says only 23-57 got it. I think all Gardeniya-equipped Floggers got the improved radar - Sapfir-23MLA-IIM: improved rwr, better jamming resistance, better countermeasure resistance (improved ECCM), better low-altitude performance.

Edit: oh yeah, apparently Sapfir-23D-III onwards (MiG-23MF, MiG-23Ms from 1975 onwards) had TWS

So yeah, the MLD should get MiG-29-type HMS too, since that was how it used the R-73
We will call it iz.23-57 so there wont be confusion. Also as I see some picture of it, looks like it have canopy without central pole but I cant say for sure because angle of photo and because its broken.

Also I found this picture but idk if it is same red 37.
That is the same one, it’s older. The photo I posted is from ~2023. That photo is from I think 2002. I’m not sure. She’s been moved around few times over the years, but it’s still the same paint job.
