USSR tree already has a few Czechoslovakia vehicles, so should the Slovakia VYDRA be added at some point?
The VYDRA is built on the 8x8 Patria hull, the turret is armed with the 2A42 30mm cannon and has spike atgms.
This will give Soviets / Russia access to fire and forget atgms, which is currently something they don’t have. Unless something like the Iranian Zoljanah is added with Sadid 365 atgms.
Despite the T-72M2 Moderna being at USSR tech tree as a Slovakian vehicle, don’t hold much hopes for more foreign vehicles getting added to USSR at the moment.
Because the T-72M2 is just that! A T-72! That is the only reason it was added to the Soviet tree. This vehicle has even less to do with Soviet/Russia than the Moderna.
The cannon is Soviet origin. Now I ask: What’s the T-72M1 have to do in the German tech tree? A M60A3 TTS in the Chinese tech tree and a Leopard 2A4 in the French tech tree? Do they have something to do with their respective nations they’re at the moment or are just you opposing of a addition of a new light vehicle to USSR, which is lacking.
Only actually being Service Use vehicles in those nations. Any other stupid questions?
Had to throw that one in there just to try to prove a point LMAO. While in my personal opinion the Dutch sub tree should have gone to Germany, as it stands it was added to France. Therefore as a Service Use vehicle it was added to the subtree which resides in the French main nation.
No such case exists for the USSR as it does not possess a Czech Subtree, nor should it IMHO.
In War Thunder, vehicle’s place in nations depends on whether they are used by that nation. Why else would there be captured Panther, or lend-lease Sherman, in the USSR ground premium? Origin of design is not important.
I am not opposed to the addition of Czechoslovakian vehicles to USSR, but the attitude of “exclusive vehicles” is that of a selfish fool.
In fact, using the 2A42 autocannon argument is not valid, but where it will be added, if so, not considering a separated Czech tech tree addition? The chassis is Finnish, the ATGM is Israelite and the autocannon is Soviet.
And will never, as I stated before:
[…] don’t hold much hopes for more foreign vehicles getting added to USSR at the moment.
If I’m not wrong, USSR has the most number of ground vehicles in-game, and just because of that, any chances of a sub tech tree was thrown out of the window,
Same as Germany and USA, they’re not receiving any new sub tech trees unless Gaijin adds a way to expand further the tech tree page window, which, seems to be a futile obstacle and a bad reason that could be fixed in so many ways, until that no sub tech tree for said nations.
Me neither, but given the situation, it doesn’t seems possible.
