Why is the VT-5 a squadron vehicle… China already lacks tons of vehicles. At LEAST add the ZTQ-15 to the tech tree at the same time… if not then this addition is essentially useless and you might as well just have released the VT-5 in the next update as researching squadron vehicles takes ages…
if you calculate getting 20k squadron rp every 3 days then it would take 81 days to get the VT-5. This is absolutely horrendous…
Actually, ZTQ15 and VT5 are almost two different tanks, just sharing the similar weapon system. It’s hard to make a new model in a hurry.
But there are two different vt5 model in game, a light one and a heavy one. Hope the other one could be added to the TT.
We should get VT-5 for tech tree though and be able to choose what armor package we want as a modification

China has a full lineup at 10.3 and 11.0 as-is, it should be a squadron vehicle.

First of all. The chinese community have been waiting for this vehicle for a WHILE. China also lacks light vehicles in high tier. Most of the chinese tanks in top tier fill the same roles. Most of them are MBT’s with 7.1 second reload. This tank is a light tank with a way quicker reload.
Making it a squadron vehicle is just a blatant cash grab because it takes 81 days to research at minimum which makes people GE it…
For me, I would absolutely bring it to the top tier. So it would better being a 11.3-11.7 light tank with BTA-2 in 5s reload. Maybe we can have a squadron one in 10.7 with only DTW2-105, and a TT one in 11.3 for top tier.
We’re likely going to have the domestic version in tech tree anyway.

it takes 81 days to grind that one vehicle. 81 DAYS. thats the QUICKEST you can acquire that vehicle. Its literally made so that people will just buy it instead. I dont understand how you can defend gaijin adding more squadron vehicles… Ive been trying to get the JF-17 for MONTHS now and it still hasnt finished.
I wouldnt even call it free considering you have to play a considerable amount to get it… You would probably earn more as a sweat shop worker than what you “get” for grinding a squadron vehicle…
Yes, and in those 81 days I will be playing plenty of vehicles.
All I have to do is just wait and it’ll be mine, and I have quite literally hundreds of vehicles that I enjoy playing on top of wanting the VT5.
Sometimes too many vehicles and I get choice paralysis and just don’t play the game. XD

And thats if you get 20k rp every time… for most people its realistically gonna be like 6 months… Thats INSANE. Do you SERIOUSLY not see the issue with this? they essentially havent added the vehicle to the game for several months…
Just think of it as having been annouced for a later patch; it’ll be “added to the game” on the day your personal squardon research finishes.

Hold on guys, the one we’re getting is the Bangladeshi variant. It’s gonna be the same case as the RCV(p) and ICV(p) in the Japanese tree, we’ll get the Squadron VT-5BD first and 2x updates from now or less will be the tech tree variant with the Heavy Armor upgrade. That’s not including the ZTQ15. Gaijin is gonna milk the GE first from the Squadron variant unfortunately…
To be honest I’d prefer as a squadron vehicle, I still researching the Su-33, when, I have enough to pre-buy it, I won’t.
I love this argument: “We from the chinese community […]”, is there something that being chinese makes you better than someone to opine about the chinese vehicles and how Gaijin implement these in-game?
Based on this, the Italian MBTs would get little support for bug and innacuracies fixes, compared how it’s at the moment with people wanting fixes from right, left and middle. It doesn’t matter where’s the vehicle from, it depends how the community as a whole reacts on it.
First of all. Im not chinese. I dont see how this has anything to do with this issue. Second of all this vehicle is completely unique compared to any other vehicles in the entire tech tree. And its a vehicle people have wanted for a good while. there is NO good argument for it to be a squadron vehicle other than being a cash grab for gaijin.
I just dont want them to do like they did with JF-17 where they locked the best CAS jet for china behind a GE paywall/ 81+ day grind…
Personally any squadron vehicles is good, so people would shut when saying that only USSR gets squadron vehicles. Squadron vehicles gives the chance to everyone, whatever if the player owns or not vehicles from said tech tree to grind it.
This paywall you mentions is just created thing, is not a obligatory paywall, you pay because you want, not because you need, if you don’t want to waste, play the game, fullfil the activity points to your squadron and wait, it doesn’t demand more than 30 minutes in-game to get the 360 activity points.
I’m not a expert on this vehicle, is something new to me, considering it may have good gun handling and mobility, would probably play just like a VT-4A1. As I said, there’s no paywall, you pay if you want, for me, I’d rather wait, than wasting Golden Eagles just to have to grind all the vehicle’s module.
