yes the angle helps but you dont get the max -5degree over the front so the benefit of the angled turret gets mitigated.

The top screenshot is -5, because it’s over the side where the turret ring isn’t angled.
The top isnt -5 because due to the angled turret the gun depression gets worse the more you turn the turret and in the top picture you already turned too far back. At 42.5 degree you have -5 after that it becomes less.
I’ve got all the essential parts for mobility and the firepower, I concluded that the VT4 is an overall worse vehicle compare to the 1001. It’s so much slower than the 1001 and I even believe the premium Al Khalid is an overall better vehicle and its 11.7. When compression kicks in this thing needs to be moved down as it has no business being anywhere close to the 1001/99A. The gun depression also extremely bad when your barrel is within the front hull. It’s either 12.0 or lowest 11.7 because I wouldn’t be able to tell if it is a better vehicle than the mbt2000, aside from the VT4 having better thermals and the Al Khalid is mbt2000 with an even better thermals sight minus the mediocre gun handling of VT4 lol
Now I don’t even think I need to waste my time going for the 12.7 version
All of Chinas own MBTs are like 11BR MBTs with better Moblity. All else they are de facto identical to the 11BR ZTZ99s.
And IRL Thailand is even telling their Troops to use M60s because of how poorly the VT4 performs and it breaking down all the time like an WW2 Tank.
