But F4U-5NL would be researchable vehicle only because better F4U-4B and F8F-1B
the F4U-5NL is a winterized night fighter version of the F4U-5. It would have worse performance for no real gain, since the radar is useless in warthunder

F4U-4B is not better, they have the same guns but F4U-5 get better flight perf which means that it can carry more ordonance and when it’s clean off every kind of suspended armament it is faster, climb higher faster and get a similar or better turn radius

no it’s not, they share the same airframe and this variant is the heaviest and since the haven’t change the engine it is (performance wise) the worst
I really wanna see the F4U-5 as a researchable vehicle, i don’t want it to be locked behind an event, the other versions could be event or premium, it wouldn’t really matter, we need at least one of them as tech tree stuff
Now aircraft in tier IV 5 event vehicle, 1 pack, 3 premium GE and 1 battle pass
I guess F4U-5N might be regular pack order in gaijin store

why do you want the 5N? all it does is add more weight and limit your manuverability for no real gain.
