The question “why do Swedish-Finns play on the same team as Russians” under the news about the new finnish KV is deleted by the moderator )))

I find this proposal very interesting, but on the one hand it is simply difficult to realise, Finnish tanks under the Swedish flag would then compete against Swedish tanks.

On the other hand, what about Vichy France? Have you ever thought about adding them to Team Germany? Or Italy to the USA because they changed sides on 13 October 1943?

What about the GDR NVA tanks like T-72M1 and BMP-1? Can they also play together with the Soviets and Chinese? Is all this actually possible in the simulator? Simply no because everything is based on teams and not on historical accuracy, and there are too few simulator players compared to the other modes because for Gaijin this is a slow seller. I haven’t seen the same attention for simulator players as there is for arcade or realistic for years

Those are not the same. Vichy France did not really fight anyone even when allies came in. While part of italy switched sides in 1943 the north of Italy was still axis until April 1945. Its again like comparing Winter war + Contiunation war to little skirmish of Lapand war. Majority of war Italy was axis and so was Finland. It would not make sense to add late war Italy on allied side anyway since at that br they get moustly after war stuff anyway. + I suggested Finland to be on axis only till 3rd rank. It just makes 0 sense for it to be on side with Soviet union that they fought aggainst majority of second world war.

It also doesn’t really make sense for a German(finnish) KV-1B to fight finland but gaijin already said that the KV-1B will always be exclusive to germany so i mean might as well throw finland on the axis so they arent technically fighting themselves

Kinda just repeats what I said but yeah I agree.

Still no change sigh*

Or there should be vehicle based match making, solving this prob and solving cold war germany etc.
Separate nato and eastern and whoever brings tanks from both in one line up cannot enter to matchmake

Lets solve ww2 first since thats backed by actuall wars. Eeastern german never fought the western one only was prepared to do so.

Шведы вместе с финнами должны быть на стороне немцев, как это и было во время WWII.

да 👍, (needed translate) but yes.

The guy you replied to made sense though? Nations need to be split up if you want real sim battles, that’s true even in ww2.

How so?

Italy

Direct example:

Air sim has the same issue.

I was flying Yak-1s last night and I saw a Bf109. Germany is on my side. I am fighting america and britain. Friend, right? Moments later, I was dead. Why? American Bf109. Later I saw a teammate cry for help. Bf109 on bf109 action. Had no idea which was which until the camo finally rendered and it wasnt just silhouettes.

Tonight I flew the bf109-F4. I saw a B-25j. I flew to intercept. Blue marker showed up - china.

Well china might be devided before and after ww2. Not in ww2 as they only fought japanese. (i mean realistically speaking they had no tanks what so ever in ww2 so…)

And italy still was axis majority of war simmlar tho finland.

Yes, but they both have POST-WAR equipment that makes IFF very annoying/impossible.

Like, it’a s similar situation as Sweden (ignoring Finnish subtree) - it’s post-war stuff but BR-wise it falls into WW2

Thats why the splitting nation is bad idea imo. I would just put the finland/sweden to axis till like rank III since there is simply no reason for them to be on side with soviets.

Honestly i doubt this suggestion will be considered as this essentially is all about a subtree, i doubt gaijin will put finland on to the axis side since finland is a subtree and not a main tree. It makes no sense why the US has Iranian F14 which fight against russia but again i think if finland was the parent nation it would have been Axis but sunce the majority of the tree is swedish i doubt gaijin will move them.

Poor argument. Historically speaking, Sweden and Finland both were VERY close to the Axis Powers. Sweden by all accounts was in the axis, without being in the axis.

I fail to understand your point regarding this, by all regards Finland was a member of the Axis for around 83% of the war? Considering they joined the Allies in October 1944. Sweden, as mentioned before, while neutral on paper, much more closely aligned itself with the Axis powers for most of the war.

Get your facts right before you shove your nose into something like this with poor arguments.

I, on the other hand agree with this post and it’s proposal.
