VK 45.02(P) - "Electric Königstiger"

Tbh, i dont even think the KwK 40 version is real.

In fact, no weapons were actually mounted on this turret.
The turret was produced, the chassis was produced, but it never received the armament.
The plan was with the 0725, but just as the PAK 41 (0725 anti-tank) was never produced on a large scale due to the difficulty of obtaining tungsen and ended up being replaced by the PAK 40 (which is basically a KwK 40 anti-tank) I think that the same thing would happen to Tigre’s father (VK3601)

I know that, but i think there were never even intended plans to mount the KwK 40 in it. As they moved on.

Huge difference between a tank and a plane. Flight is far more complex to model than moving on the ground and thus needs a lot more data to be remotely accurate.

wouldnt be litte bit over powered like thinking of it yeah it has p turret but still think would be op

That one looks so good, the KwK 40 fits it perfectly.

Looks beautiful

Really does, even if that configuration wasn’t real it definitely looks the best.

If the USSR tree can have some crazy and obscure prototypes, why not the other countries ?

For me is a yes. +1

It’s not Panther II turret, it’s a separate project. Sadly Panther II just like E-50 and E-75 didn’t have any design for turrets.
Panther II was created mainly because of weak side armor of early Panthers and new turret was an afterthought. There might be some forgotten documents on this but i doubt.

As for VK 45.02(P) i knew that there was works on them but I didnt know that 3 hulls existed. Its a very interesting, funny vehicle and I would love to see it in game.

VK 36.01(H) with funny gun would be nice addition before Tiger in tt. There was also one other similar VK but i’m blanking on it…

+1 at 6.0 or 6.3. Mobility is probably going to be this things biggest downside having less than 10hp per ton.

+1 would be neat

Wasn’t Sla16 engine meant to be used in later prototypes? IIRC I read somewhere that Porsche was working on it to replace that weird idea of putting two engines in a tank.
I’m quite surprised that there isn’t also a suggestion for VK 30.01 (P). Two hulls were completed and extensively tested.

I did, still pending.

Great to hear, I was suspecting that you were planning to do something with it.

I will be there waiting to upvote.

Surely there’s an end in sight to all these ww2 German vehicles right?

Surely there isn’t much left pending right?

I don’t know about pending but there is quite a few vehicles left to see suggestions.

Main ones I’d like to see brought in would be:

D.W. 2 - an early heavy tank prototype, could go as the first heavy tank in the tree

VK 30.01P - Porsche design for a 30 ton tank, basically a much lower armored VK 45.01P, could either be a premium or go before my next suggestion.

VK 36.01H - A prototype to the Tiger H1, would have had a unique 75mm gun

VK 45.02P - Porsche’s attempt to use his electric drive again, but for the Tiger 2 program. 80mm of frontal armor and 2x300HP engines. A good 6.3 tank between the Tiger E and Tiger II (P).
