[Video] Rafale C F3: Gust of Wind

We’ve already met one of the major air additions to the game back in 2024, so now it’s time to take another multirole fighter for a ride. Please welcome the Dassault Rafale C F3, a French fighter of generation 4.5! Its name can be translated as ‘gust of wind’, which makes this plane an even closer sibling of the multinational Eurofighter Typhoon.

Don't forget, you can now use video subtitles!

The AASM 64 being unlocked before the 54 (IR before Laser) feels a bit strange, but I appreciate it nonetheless.

Regarding AESA, the game does not use it properly. In reality, an AESA radar can track multiple targets even outside its scan array and should behave as if thousands of radars are scanning the field simultaneously, with an insanely high refresh rate. Additionally, it should provide a 3D ground map, as should the Mirage 2000D family.

Without even mentioning SPECTRA’s capabilities and Data Fusion, the Rafale is also missing the AASM 1000 kg family and a couple of other munitions (SCALP-EG, EXOCET, etc.).

It should also be able to use its current fuel pod pylons as heavy armament loadouts (even if they aren’t used by the French military). In fact, the Rafale has five (!) heavy load/wet pylons.

AASM 1000 is part of the F4 standard (it was qualified for use in 2024 )

However we should indeed have access to AASM 500 (just a mk83 with AASM kit) but that would limit the number of A2G to only two round
