Video Digest 29.09.2025

Over the past week we released some interesting videos: challenges in automating the T58 tank and the F-16I Sufa fighter — one of the most advanced versions of this jet. Thunder Show features a plane being hit by artillery, and we also did a video about the legendary Me 410 and the new radar interface that was released in the Tusk Force major update.

Don’t forget, you can now use video subtitles!

T58: Automation Limit

Since the very creation of tanks, engineers have been trying to automate the jobs of crew members. Communication, target detection, gun loading… Combat vehicles continuously received new devices. Few innovations were easy to implement, but autoloaders delivered more trouble than most. The first designs of autoloaders for large-caliber weapons were introduced in the early World War 2, but none of the nations managed to achieve impressive results. American, German, Japanese, and Soviet ideas failed to pass trials at shooting ranges, and most never even left the blueprint stage.

F-16I Sufa: 10 out of 10

The F-16 completed its maiden flight more than 50 years ago, and in that time, it has become one of the most widespread combat vehicles in the world. And if that wasn’t enough, these planes are still being modernized! War Thunder has recently added one of the most advanced versions created in the 21st century. Please welcome the Israeli F-16I Sufa, which can be translated as “storm.”

Thunder Show: HOT-TOG

Starring: artillery feats, totally unnecessary challenges, and one old vet with a convincing demonstration of how one should get off their lawn.

Me 410: Hornet of the Luftwaffe

By the early 1940s, the Luftwaffe urgently needed a modern twin-engine heavy fighter-bomber to replace the rapidly aging Messerschmitt Bf 110. The intended successor, the Me 210, turned out to be a complete failure. The aircraft suffered from chronic instability, poor handling, and a host of other design flaws.

New Aircraft UI

In addition to new and anticipated vehicles, the Tusk Force update brings major improvements to the user interface elements of aircraft radar systems and weapon selectors.
