Vickers Valkyr H.20 - Mobile, Radar-Guided, Twin-20mm SPAA

Now that the Falcon received a radar and therefore probably banned from ever going down in BR, I sure hope we can see the Valkyr soon

Or why isn’t this added yet?

+1, nice vehicle, would be perfect for the 7.7 lineup

Gaijin has a rule in the headquarters that says not to fill the British SPAA gap

A dozen more British SPAA for 9.7-10.3 on their way

Though I’d happily take Verdi 2

At least when this comes we won’t need to use our 8.0 SPAA at 7.7 anymore. We can use it at 5.3 as intended.

lol so true the skink can finally stay where it belongs

+2 because easy pairing with the AMX VCI counterpart for France.
What ammunition types does this have?
I think 7.7 if it gets APDS, 7.3 if it doesn’t

Entirely up to gaijin which ammunition it gets.

You can always write a suggestion post though.

The suggestion has already been made.

If there is in general a ammunition type for a gun that’s not in game you can always write a post for the ammo though such posts are unpopular vs there flashy new vehicle posts.

Well it’s really more of a bug report. Unless it’s a new new type of weapon like a GPS or IR guided shell.

Honestly I’d prefer if it didn’t have APDS but then on the same hand APCR is useless so I’d want it to have APDS so it can actually pen heavy armoured targets like a thin plate of aluminium or a heavily angled sheet of paper.

That’s a great idea Gaijin pay loads of attention to those

People definitely aren’t just writing their suggestions on the CBR now

So the Falcon and Chieftain Marksman are both being moved up, meaning the SPAA gap in the British is now widened to 5.3 - 8.7.

Gaijin genuinely expects the Skink to be used in a mid-cold war 8.3 lineup. If the Valkyr (or other gap fillers) aren’t due to arrive this upcoming update, the situation is looking pretty dire for a little while.

It’s wild that this hasn’t been a priority from the devs.

Britain’s SPAA gap is straight up crippling, and France’s 6.3-8.7 gap is close behind it.

Given the h.20 turret was a modular French design, and that the VAB is already in game, it should not be too much of a lift to see both the Vickers Valkyr H.20 and VAB H.20 added at the same time.

Doubly so since these SPAA gaps have existed for 5+ years

Yeah but tanks are also being moved up. It’s not actually any wider of a gap than before just the numbers changed. The 8.3 lineup is now just 8.7.

The only other British 8.3 that is moving up is the Olifant (which is frankly well deserved). The existing 8.3 lineup, made up of the Vickers Mk 3, Vijayanta, Striker, Warrior, ZT3, Scimitar Mk 2 is not being moved, it is now just hamstrung with literally no SPAA options aside from flinging proxy out of the AS90
