+1 British tech tree needs this
+1
this would absolutly slaughter low tier tanks, i want it.

additional photo offering a side profile ;) of course now i have got this i know its a MK.VIB chassis, so i have changed the name in order to take this into account
would this be foldered under the vickers light already ingame or would it be the next in line?
I would assume next in the line, as its better then it in every possible way
This would likely be around 1.7 maybe higher. As it’d have better AT performance than the Staghound AA but worse AA performance.
+1 Need it. A good low tier SPAA for UK tech tree. I imagine as a 2.0 BR SPAA.
+1 for more low tier AA
Would be nice to see, tho its AA ability would be a bit more limited considdering that it only had Ap-T ammo and no He or incendary ammo.
Does anyone have info about the size and weight of the steel core of this 15mm AP bullet?
I wonder if this still had the original 25 round belts, or considering its feeding directly from ammo boxes is it just a continuous belt?
how is this not in game already

Posted this in another thread, relevant here too. This is roughly what the 15mm Besa would be like in-game.
So assuming this AA version has a continuous belt being fed directly from those external ammo boxes, so full 450 rounds per minute, instead of the typical 25 round belts we’re probably looking around 1.7, maybe 2.0.
Looks strange, I like it.
Should’ve been in a while ago +1
Also would the MK2 have any noticeable differences from the 4mg MK1 we have in game now?
Armour around the gunner. That’s basically it.
Maybe a folder addition?
Also I think remember seeing something about the mk2s having different stabilisation depending if it was the early or late version.
Really not worth the effort, should have been the 1.0 from the start. It’s literally the same vehicle, just with some extra plates to give cover for the gunner.
Mk I

Mk II
See that little bit of plate now surrounding the turret top? In-game it would have helped the gunner not get MG’d. As I said, probably not worth the effort at this point. Should have been the one in-game.

So we have 5 potential rounds available:
- AP: 1140 grains/0.074kg (rounded), muzzle velocity 2800 ft per second (assumed, based on minimum in manual)
- APHE: 1048 grains/0.068kg (rounded), muzzle velocity 3000 ft per second (assumed, based on manual)
- HE: 1048 grains/0.068kg (rounded), muzzle velocity 3000 ft per second (assumed, based on manual)
- HE Timed Fuse: 985 grains/0.064 (rounded), muzzle velocity 3150 ft per second (assumed, based on maximum in manual)
- AP W Mk Iz: 1160 grains/0.075kg (rounded), muzzle velocity 920 metres per second
Now the actual service AP W MkIz round should definitely replace the original one. Being the best available providing 38mm of penetration based on Gaijin’s calculator.
The ironic thing is the APHE round is massively buffed from the values given in the source (in real life solid shot gives more penetration than a hollow core) with 35mm of penetration using Gaijin’s calculator and the information I provided above. Even if you drop it to 2800 ft per second it’s still got 32mm of penetration.
The other thing to consider is that for AA work the rate of fire listed goes up to 520 rounds per minute as per the manual.
It is possible this has the 120 round belt box for each gun.
