Yeah, leclerc shell on a vextra is clearly fine for top tier + with gen 3 and mobility it will hurt.
it’s probably not as good as the best light tank in sweden tech in terms of penetration but it should still be great.
I’m really glad to see they finally decided to buff the Vextra… after I’ve been complaining to Smin1080 for five months.
But what is this OFL 105 G2 round? Did Gaijin mess up the name?

Oh, and since the Super Étendard has now been moved to 11.0, maybe it should get Magic 2 missiles to keep it balanced with the Su-25BM, which has access to two R-73s.
G2 is a completely new round while F2 is the DU variant, unless I’m confusing things with the 120mm.
G2 was made for export while F2 was in actual service for the VEXTRA (well, as much service as a test vehicle has), and the AMX30B2 used it, so in game at the very least the Brenus should have access to it. I believe IRL the F2 would perform somewhat better than the G2, but I don’t necessarily know in game. I’ll have to look through the F2 penetration analysis bossman made a few months ago.
All in all, VEXTRA, AMX 30 Brenus, and AMX32 105 should be able carry F2 as the top round (and Vextra should not even carry F1)

I’m still having unrealistic dreams about the Jaguar being added. There would also be 140mm, XLR, and maybe a ground attacker version of the Rafale with MICA IRs.
Okay so I went back to some values.
According what what was found on the DU round, using the L-O formula used by gaijin for APFSDS, we’d be around 489mm of penetration for the OFL 105 F2.
Currently the OFL 105 G2 I believe will be in the ballpark of 420-430mm.
So we are halfway there from F1 lol

Well, tbf, the Jaguar or a CTA40 in general is probably the closest to being added, unless the devs add another Leclerc with the XLR, on a lineup that is already bloating with MBTs, thanks the copy pasted Benelux line, which could have been so much better.
140mm is the least likely in a short time frame (probably when top tier will start drying out the bug gun gang will be added) while the MICA IR will depend on how much power creep Gaijin wants to add in a future update with the next generation IR missiled
As they say “This new shell has slightly more penetration than the 105 mm DM63.” The penetration of the DM63 is 430mm, so I’m guessing it’s between 430-440mm, and considering it’s a French vehicle, maybe 431mm, lol

Type 16 slander will not be tolerated.
It’s the best armoured car around 9.x uncontested by virtue of being a complete package that gives you everything you need.
Compared to one another the Type 16 is better protected being able to tank 35mm autocanons, has a much better sensor suite with both gunner/commander gen 3 thermals and a LWS, but most importantly the Type 16 has never been hit by Gaijin’s certi gearbox.
When you have to move, the Type 16 moves while the VEXTRA has to sift trough 9 gears before getting to 40 km/h.
Firepower is slightly better on the VEXTRA thanks to the G2, but overall same reload rate, slightly bigger ready rack on the Type 16. Also the Type 16 has a 12.7 that’s very convenient to get rid of helis.
The only thing where the Type 16 is significantly inferior to the VEXTRA is the turret rotation speed.
I see it like an overall buff, also there arent many 11.0 so the change isnt really that large, so at full uptiers you will mostly see 10.7 anyways and now it pens them much easier.
Finally it’s not a bad vehicle to bring to top tier. The extra is now capable of reliably piercing the M1A2 hull plate, when it was not previously. Also the spall is much better. I’m glad I can now bring a light tank to my top tier lineup
