Another Hot Take. The TOG 2 is an incredible tank. I consistently get 10+ kill games with it and its so much fun.

I find it fine at that kind of range, actually have no issue with solid shot, but I wont play 6.7-8.0 ever again because APDS just sucks.
Cheiftain Mk3/5 I will sometimes play, but I would much rather just take out the Mk10 with L23
Strikemaster with its internal machineguns is often completely sufficient to fight pretty much any enemy planes you meet in GRB including enemy early jets even in 2v1 scenarios. Just needs gaijin to give us belt selection for them! Just go full SURA in case you need them for head on fools and bombers.
I was playing the Type 74 (c) today in Japan tech tree. That thing has APDS at 8.3 and it is a blast. I one tap everything as long as I hit the direct front.

The Tiger II H has a massive weakspot called the entire turret face, and it would be quite bad at 7.0 if it were to move up without decompression.
People overrate the T-34-85.
The VK.3005 is undertiered.
The Amx-13 is a 6.3 tank at 7.0 for no reason other than being french. Just like how the Amx-13 (FL11) is 4.3 despite being worse than the 3.7 M24.
The Sea Vixen is better than people say it is, and one of the bigger downsides to not having a gun is the lack of ability to kill any AI ground targets.
F-84s ruined the entire 7.X BR range.

Depends on what your in and whether your uptieried to face it or downtiered to face it, and if it’s a braindead or good tiger player.
If I have the US 90mm, it doesn’t matter. If it’s a 76, they have to not be angling

This is honestly due to needing to learn how to play them correctly.
Currently have a 3.22 K/D on it and honestly try to keep good stats on this fav tank of mine. Yes, added both air and ground kills together. I prefer the Type 99 over the M47. PZH 2000 should be a lot more better due to its LRF, but i don’t main Germany so I don’t play it.
The Chinese QN506 light vehicles probably my worst one I played. I love it due to its ammunitions but it can’t take hits. Ammo cooks off and I’m left with no ammo to fight back rendering it useless in fights even if I survive. I have to find a way to play it correctly, but that ammo easily cooking is what kills my experience with it.
More of a general game mechanic, but.
Missiles ruin the game. Fox-3s are terrible. Fox-1s can be annoying as well. Fox-2s… well, those tend to be fine.
But if War Thunder was all just gunfighting, I think it’d be a much funner game.

i heard when the Leviathan update hit, due to the missile bug of not damaging aircrafts, players enjoyed doing actual dog fights with pure guns with no missiles used. Wished I could experienced it myself lol But I was too busy exploring the new SAMs.

It was so peak.
BnZ with the F-15E, getting people to actually turn with you in the F-2, being able to kulbit on people with the Su-30SM.
Shame all that fun was patched.

I think missiles add more depth to the game at higher tiers and make it harder for people to just go into orbit and hide the whole game
It’s also handicapping many platforms and making some very famous aircraft unsuitable for addition
If the M18’s tank commander sat down fully or lowered himself just a little bit more. The overall stealthiness, survivability, and maybe even the BR of the Hellcat would increase.

However, Gaijin designs air RB poorly, which makes them seem like a bad thing more than they should be. BR compression also doesn’t help this.

the .50 would still stick out
High instantaneous AOA is better than effective, sustained turn rate in nearly every situation, eg no matter how good you are at dogfighting the P-59 will win 9 times out of 10 in a 1v1 because it can out rate you, same with the AOA button aircraft.
I’ve outright lost track of how many times I’ve just leedle nosed on people who are trying to force me into energy traps and such just to cut them in half because I can point far better than they can.

The fox is “good enough” is about the best you can give it.
It does the job, sometimes. More often than not. But more often than not is still not the kind of odds I’d like for a round to have 😿
At least you can kind of aim on the move now.
