I think a big part of this has to do with most content creators discouraging people from buying it, so it usually remains a vehicle veterans will buy.

Idk i play KD 4 with it and i still cant comprehend how. Thats literal 5.3 sherman sitting at 6.3, but somehow it makes kills. I struggle so much but have so high KD ratio on it.

The Tiger H1 tank would be rather much interesting to use against open-top vehicles, specifically in close quarters if it could functionally use its hull S-mine (Minenabwurfvorrichtung) launchers, rather than them just blocking your gun depression every time you try to turn the turret to shoot while at an angle.

35 mm spaa isn’t a problem, the issue is with the lack of player skill. Hesh is truly under-utilised as well. Cas is good

The 10.0+ light tanks like the Puma that have ridiculous survivability + crewless turrets are simply unfun and shouldn’t have been added.

Imma have to say that the PUMA isn’t really that survivable
If it’s a hull shot, tends to get taken out from 1-2 good shots from MBTs and IFVs can also tear trough the front if they know where to aim

When it comes to the turret, because of the placement of everything, most if not all hits will force the PUMA to pull back, left of the gun? vertical drive and breech, right of the gun? breech, vertical drive, autoloader, ammo, electronics
just hitting the electronics parts furthest to the side will usually generate enough spalling to take out the ammo or autoloader
Past that, you’re just missing the turret in general

in general, losing those parts of the turret is def better than dying but sometimes it just ends up with you spending more time repairing and refilling stowage rather than fighting, and once you’ve finally done with that, chances the very next guy is also going to hit the turret and repeat the cycle

so it doesn’t really benefit as much from having an unmanned turret as other vehicles because of how big the turret itself is

Stuff like the Vilkas, 2S38, AFT09 are quite a bit better off because of the size of their turret
or if you really wanna feel pain, the Namer 30 at range with it constantly shifting back and forth in random intervals, just pure torture

USS southdakota is undertiered at 8.3

From my experience, the only thing that can reliably take out a Puma is Obj 292.

Autocannons often do nothing, even from the side (BMP-2M, XM800T, and EFV in particular.)
Even 152mm HE will often “hit” (namely Spj 4-3 and BMP-2M’s HE ATGM).
M1A1 AIM and T 80 U sabot can do it, but they too are often met with just “critical hit.”

Either way, these vehicles are just unfun.

The BMPT’s are bad.

They are essentially the same as any T-series tank. So weak spots are the same, only difference being that it has a vulnerable turret to autocannon fire. Missiles being shot out, the ammo belt is also inconsistent, one time it kills you the other times it just burns without killing you making you to be unable to repair yourself.

The apds is bad even at 10.3. You can’t pen most of the light tanks from the front. Even side armor will sometimes make your apds shatter due to composite sides.

Sure, the BMPT’s have excellent armor for the br, but that’s all it got honestly. Mobility wise it’s not something it shines at as well… Having the classic limitations of a Soviet MBT chassis, being: bad reverse speed, no neutral steering, bad gun depression and the same ammunition storage, even though it got an entirely different turret.

So in conclusion, it’s fine where it’s at. It’s just people didn’t adapt to play against them yet. The BMPT’s should get more powerful munitions like: apfsds, 9M220O atgm-vt and 9M120M with 950mm pen. But obviously it’s going to go up in br (which I’m fine with) as many people have been begging for.

It should’ve been like this from the start. Give it the better munitions, scouting, and move it up to like… 12.0 or 12.3.

I don’t think stuff around 10.3 should be facing Relikt.

What about the ammo box? It kind of needs it thanks to the limited atgms and their vulnerability to mgs.

Removing the Ammo box would help balance the vehicle.

But yeah, the Ammo box is super helpful.

I have a new hot take. The Char 25t is the second best rank 5 light tank other than the Object 906. It has a superb gun that steals the show with excellent explosive filler and 4 second autoloader. This gun is better than the 906’s gun but it lacks the stabilizer that the 906 has. Alongside the gun, this tank has fine mobility for the BR and is surprisingly survivable due to the engine being in the front. I see so many people saying that this tank is sub-par, but that was CERTAINLY NOT the impression I had when playing it.

merkava 2d is lowkey one of the strongest tanks at 10.0
