This thing feels like it is locking up/high speed centre-mass compressing even at 345kmh, in a straight line and banking, can I expect the same handling once spaded?

VB.10.O2 doesn’t excell anywhere - in comparison to MB-5 it’s
slower acceleration
faster overheating engines
doesn’t Roll as good
it may have combat flaps, but this doesn’t improve your turn much, and creates more drag effect.

feeling and truth are often two different things:
here we can see that MB-5 hold more speed (= energy) than VB.10-02 under 8.9km altitude
and have a better frame resistance to excessive speed under 4.3km altitude
in WT, we rarely fight higher than that in Propeller ERA.

and you go check Lift/Drag polars, you’ll understand why the MB-5 is a BnZ fighter, while the VB.10.02 was intended to turn, but still failed miserably in comparison to P-38’s F-82’s or every other mono-propeller fighter.
MB-5 is very specific but is still lighter than VB.10’s
MB-5 weight : 4 188kg empty - up to 5 484kg at maximum
VB.10 weight: 6,458 kg empty - up to around 9,760kg at maximum
War thunder Statcard (even if falsenned somehow) still gives a better climb rate to MB-5 [20.0m/s] than VB.10-02 [15.4m/s] once spaded.

The M.B.5 climbs much better, handles better, and is overall a better aircraft.
The Vb.10-02 should be 4.0 along side the Vb.10C-1, because it’s only advantage is 6 added .50s, which add more weight than firepower. The Vb.10C-1 also isn’t a stellar plane at 4.0, with it being outclassed by several other planes around it’s BR.

i played VB.10C and VB.10.O2, grinded all mods,…
but if you buy me the MB-5, i’ll gladly overrate your results in it:
i test drived it, and it does acts better than VB.10 in several aspect of flight model.
I won’t be paying to prove you wrong,… (82kills for 58deaths you got in the MB-5 → easy to do better)
I could get more if I only cared about how many kills I got, They are very similar in application and performance-ish.
Finding it easier to get kills in the VB though.
