he turret and fighting compartment, the front plate houses the 6-Pdr and 7.92mm Besa guns and mounting. The gunner is on the left and the loader/commander on the right, their seats being mounted on the platform which rotates as a complete unit with the turret; the platform being suspended from the upper ball race. Elevation and depression is controlled by a geared hand wheel with the 6-Pdr, firing mechanism operated by a remote control from the hand grip. Full power traverse is available for 360 degrees.

History:
The Valentine tank made its combat debut in North Africa in 1941 during Operation Crusader, operating with the British Eighth Army.

On the Eastern Front, the Soviet Union acquired around 3,300 Valentines through the Lend-Lease program, making it one of the most extensively used foreign tanks in Soviet forces.

In Italy, the Valentine was deployed to support infantry operations, where its maneuverability proved advantageous in the challenging mountainous landscape. Its use in the Pacific Theater was limited, primarily by New Zealand forces, who used it for infantry support and jungle warfare training.

By 1943, the Valentine’s modest firepower and slower speed had become limiting factors. More versatile tanks like the Sherman and Churchill began to replace it in front-line roles. However, the Valentine remained in secondary roles, including training and as a platform for specialized adaptations, such as the Valentine Archer, a self-propelled gun fitted with a rear-facing 17-pounder anti-tank gun.

Role in game:
The Valentine Mk X (L/50) is armed with the 6-Pdr Mk V instead of the 6-Pdr Mk III seen on the in-game Valentine Mk IX currently, in addition it also now has a coaxial Besa again. The Valentine Mk X (L/50) could also receive the currently missing 6-Pdr APCR and APDS ammunition to justify a higher BR.

If this could get the 57mm APDS, that’d be awesome. +1
