Hello everyone :), what I would like to introduce today is VAB/TA-20.
VAB/TA-20 is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun developed by the French company VDAA. The chassis of the vehicle uses Renault VAB armored vehicles, which are 4x4 or 6x6 drive vehicles that were produced in 1976 and have been in use ever since. The total weight is about 13 tons, and the engine is a MAN D 2356 HM72 diesel engine, which can provide 235 horsepower, allowing it to accelerate at a maximum speed of 92km/h on the road. It can also cross the water without preparation, with a propeller installed at the rear of the vehicle that can move forward at a speed of 7.5km/h on the water.
The weapon of the vehicle is the TA-20 turret developed by Hispano Suiza company. The turret is equipped with an identification friend or foe system, a laser rangefinder, and a television tracking system. There are four smoke grenade launchers outside the turret. The main weapon is two 20mm Hispano Suiza 820 SL auto guns, each with 300 rounds of ammunition available for firing. The turret and weapons use hydraulic control for steering and pitching. In case of hydraulic system failure, a backup generator is used to drive them, and in emergency situations, they are manually driven. There are multiple options for ammunition, including HE-I, HEI-T, APHE-I, APIC-T.If needed, a 7.62mm or 7.5mm machine gun with a 200 round reserve can also be installed outside the turret.
Installed at the rear of the turret is the Dassault Electronics RA-20 fully coherent pulse Doppler radar within a range of 1 to 8 kilometers. The radar operates in the E-band and rotates at a speed of 40 revolutions per minute to perform surveillance and target acquisition (scanning while tracking), and can simultaneously track four targets. The commander can transmit target information to other vehicles via radio. When the target enters the scanning area, the alarm and warning lights will be activated. When the commander decides to attack, the gunner manually operates the joystick to aim the optical sight at the target, and the computer calculates the target lead angle. The commander cannot take over weapons.

This vehicle is an export vehicle designed to provide low-cost air defense for small countries without a military industrial system, and has never been included in the French military, nor has it received any orders. The turret was applied to many chassis, which also led to the birth of the EE-11 Urutu self-propelled anti-aircraft gun.
The VAB/TA-20 is a wheeled self-propelled anti-aircraft gun with decent mobility and sufficient firepower. The chassis VAB armored vehicle used in the game already has similar vehicles. The turret is equipped with search radar and TV tracking equipment, with strong perception ability, but the power of the auto gun may be insufficient. Therefore, it is recommended that the BR be 8.0.
