Ussr ground forces advice

im about to start grinding rank 6 of ussr. i need advice for which vehicles are worth to play and which ones not worth playing.

thank you

i havent tried the bmp and it-1 lines
zsu-23 shilka is fun and very cool (but i do like spaa a lot more than probably everyone else), t-55a is ok and a good all-round medium tank/mbt, but t-10m should be avoided unless u really want it, it doesnt have any significant advantages over the t-55 and it isnt a very good tank

All of the rank 6 are actually pretty fun to play but u should focus on the 2 MBTs line then the SPAA line and finally if u feel like it return and grind the TDs and light tank line since those 2 are dead end.

Do note that at rank 7 the 2 T72B is a bit meh tho so once u done grinding rank 6 focus more on the T80B and probly add the BMP-2M into the line up.

T-55 and the T-55AMD are awesome and the T-64B and T-72A very deadly also the Zsu-23-4m4 IRCCM missile at this BR is very good

Consider the line-up battle rating 9.3, it’s your best and most numerous line-up at rank VI:

T-72A as your main tank, regular T-72 gameplay with worse everything, I guess, compared to other vehicles at same battle rating, though armor is your best point specially in the turret however don’t expect being invencible at hull-down positions.

T-64A as back-up, almost same experience as the T-72A offer in bit worse platform; it doesn’t have laser rangefinder, only an optical rangefinder which may put you in certain disadvantage in some maps like El Alamein and Mozdok, sniping heaven.

As one works best at sniping positions or long range engagements overall, the other is best at brawling or closer ranges engagements for comparison.

2S25 a good tank destroyer, it has excellent mobility for its kind and great firepower, you trade armor for more mobility and firepower compared to the others soviet designs you may own, best sniping vehicle available as you can engage targets quickly and take advantage positions easier.

BMP-3 is the last resource, in my perspective of view from people that doesn’t have good statistics with this vehicle is that I see BMP-3 as a vehicle with an steep curve of learning, initially works best as support vehicle and ambusher. Obviously you can press forward and push the battlefield but honestly I don’t recommend it.

ZSU-23-4M4 is a decent anti-air vehicle for what I can offer. It’s the counterpart to the Gepard 1 A2 in the soviet tech tree. It has decent anti-air MANPAD missiles and good cannons, great for overwhelming air targets and fire suppression ground vehicles.

In air you have good selection of vehicles, Su-7B, Su-7BKL, Su-7BMK, Yak-38 and Yak-38M are at your disposal, good strike vehicles for the standart you find at this battle rating in the soviet tech tree, I believe your best options available at the moment. It’s up to you; if you want a exclusively strike airplane: Su-7, if you want to do both work of dealing with other airplanes Yak-38.

Vehicles I think you should not consider putting in your playlist is: Object 435; it’s, in the shortest of the words a lower battle rating T-64A, now at battle rating 9.0 you’ll face much more powerful vehicles than before and as it has slower reload rate and worse ammunition selection than the T-64A, it’s a vehicle that you should think about if it worth playing post-spading or not.

Shturm-S; people may say it’s a great vehicle, may be but I see a very situational vehicle, the missile selections are great but it’s not every map that grants you a good cover from enemy fire with position to safely engage enemies at distance without putting yourself at much risk, small silhouette, may work in some urban maps and in most long range maps.

IT-1; rather interesting, in my opinion is not a very bad vehicle at all, it’s the map that may put this vehicle at worse then others, the missile behaviour is rather odd, it’s slow but the controls feels strange, it’s a great brawler, the closer to the enemy the best, it has good depression values and solid 10-second reloading rate, being “solid” doesn’t means it’s good every time.
