Recently, I made a bug report about this matter, but it was deemed “not to be a bug”.
Therefore, I am making this topic in an attempt at addressing this issue.
Currently, USS Tennessee is sitting about a meter too high above the waterline. As of now, it has the draft it would have under low ammo and fuel load capacities typical of a maintenance run.
This has a negative impact in gameplay, since its current draft exposes the ammunition above the waterline and diminishes the design of the armor belt.
Given the extremely poor ingame performance of American Battleships due to artificially dangerous shell room detonations and extremely slow reloads, I believe it is important not to nerf them further like this, even less so a ship that is suppossed to be the pinnacle of the tree.
USS Tennessee should receive its actual combat load draft, which would, at least, reduce the chances of magazine detonations. There is no historical or gameplay reason why Tennessee should be nerfed like this, with such artificially shallow draft.

That’s obviously a huge difference, truly this needs to change.

I was honestly astonished when I was replied that it was “not a bug”.

Ship’s out there sailing to battle to the high seas on a maintenance load that exposes the entire magazine above the waterline, but it’s not a bug lmao.
If they really suggest that this is intentional for “balance reasons”, I’ll just burst out into laughter lmfao. "Let’s make the most one-shottable ships even mroe one-shottable, because they weren’t one-shottable enough already because of our poor damage modelling already.)

They probably just want to model good ships so badly
So is normal load just the bare minimum load (to function)?
If so, why did they chose specifically this percentage (in between normal and full)? And do they apply this to other ships? If they do, as much as I hate to say it , I’m okay with it. But I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s not the case.
The draft of ships in game is entirely up to developer’s discretion, from standard load to full load
I know; that’s why I’m suggesting this change.
There’s no reason at all why it should be like this, so, since it’s an arbitrary decission, I think it would be best for them to change its load.
I am actually now considering of making a suggestion of customizable ship load conditions like the customizable fuel load on aircrafts

Now that would be quite interesting!
People would be able to pick higher survivability options vs higher mobility ones (I assume 1,500t differences would have impacts on accelerations and turning radius’).
