Being 1942 version from the looks of it its probably similar levels if im being honest

remember the bismark was taken out by outdated biplanes and the British suffered 0 aircraft losses

The shells passed through the swordfish without actually doing anything didn’t have anything to do with the guns themselves

still 0 loses

Hard to make a realistic naval game, which is why so many games resort to arcade damage models.
I hope Gaijin doesn’t have to resort to that, but I hope they find a solution soon.

Still dont see a RN Vittorio Veneto

BadaBoom

I love coastal, but the grind sucks because it’s all bots, I wish they would just make it better so more would play it.

Bots (official) are a relief, it is possible to have 20K dmg and decent match thanks to shooting them and not fighting overpowered vehicles under players control.

It is impossible to make realistic naval sim for mass audience. I would vote for merging best from RB and AB into single gamemode to ease game design and prevent (already small) player base splitting.

Anyway, Naval fixing requires full gameplay rework from scratch. And better to bring back initial TT layout without poor coastal frigates being this expensive and useless against cheap early destroyers.

7.7 naval BR when?

The biggest issue with naval is the damage models of anything with armor.
It’s realistic, but it’s a pain, and apparently Sharn got stronger since the last time I faced it and is borderline unkillable due to the armor array.

The US BB looks all so similar, hard to differentiate.

Just one from a big list of issues. Compression, Pr.206-like insta killers, M-802/Peacock-like unkillable, SKR-7-like unbalanced, …

It is easier to count what has no issues: maybe general movement.

Pretty much everything until the north carolina was built with the same principles in mind so them looking similar makes sense

This ship is still horror. Gajin just refuses to up its BR or to nerf the DM.

3 major factors here though

  1. Bismarks guns and fire control were designed for shooting down much faster aircraft, the slow speed and low speed handling meant the swordfish were hard to hit

  2. any HE shells that hit and should have one shot the swordfish, went straight through and did no damage

  3. the Swordfish could take a huge amount of damage, some were reported to have taken nearly 100 hits but kept going and managed to survive.

It isn’t guranteed that any other ship would have faired much better than Bismark did, Whilst there were swordfish losses, look at what damage they did to the Italians at Toranto.

So Bismark’s AAA was decent, but prepared for modern threats. But by the looks of the Colorado, its probably weaker in the AAA

Yes, I know. Just wish it would be easier to identify them. But anyways, just shot at the B barbette and watch it going boom.

you forget the us have he vt rounds
