The crew and armor aren’t finalized, but we are finally getting some 16" guns for the USA. Looks like a 40 second aced reload at present.
Now if we can just get rid of the new aiming and damage system…

45 second ace and not 40? Christ they’re going backwards, West Virginia maintained a 41sec average at ~18-20k years in combat. Not to mention the SRBP shoots where the class managed just very marginally under a 2rpm. Guess it’s time to make another big report to get ignored.
Sorry, it was my mistake. It’s 40 on the dev server for aced. Still a long way away from the Japanese, but the Mk 5 round does get 754mm of pen with about 15 kilos of TNT equivalent. It should be able to pen anything except a Scharnhorst (like every other battleship).
Half of the 5 inch mounts are 15RPM and the other half are 9RPM. At least it has good secondaries.
A little lacking in the AA department otherwise.
Wooo! I’m glad she’s actually coming this patch, after just barely missing the last one! :D
At least it’s not getting worse then. It’s an impressive shell to be sure but only getting 12 shells/min on ace and 11 on full expert isn’t going to be competitive when Mutsu get 20 and Amagi gets 25 on ace. Thankfully I won’t have to waste much time putting sources together for when this report gets ignored.
I think my least favorite part is no HE-VT shells for the 5 inch guns, so planes are going to be an issue.
I wonder if the Sovetsky-Soyuz will be coming this patch too. It was leaked with the Colorado.
I would bet that’s due to it being an early refit, though according to the Navy it seems she was in that fit until the very end of 1943 if I’m reading things right, which I’d think would make her eligible to have VT since I’d thought it was rolled out to the fleet by then.
Apart from the already proven unrealistic comically slow reload, there’s something else that trobles me;
Colorado’s elevators, much like Amagi’s, are being wrongly modelled as turrets. Could t his be forwarded? Although I don’t expect a fix, just like Amagi… but still worth a shot;

I really would like to play with American ships, including the upcoming Colorado, but given their poor implementation, there is little to no reason to use them…
I don’t think the model is finished. There are several errors that might be corrected before release. For instance, 40mm of main belt armor is obviously not correct.
Yeah, the armor is obvious… but seeing the same module labelling mistake we have seen on Amagi before worries me, because Amagi’s turrets were bug reported on the dev server too and yet here we are, nothing having been done about it after 6 months… (I bug-reported it later too, but nothing) :/

So I fear it may be intentional. A nerf of some sort for “balance”.
Ya, even if it’s a bug and successfully reported, we’ll have to wait several years for a fix.
I have made a report regarding the reload. It uses the same sources as my previous report so I don’t believe it will be rejected. Hopefully it is actually implemented this time.

yeah it was ignored again, looks like Tennessee downgrade cause slower, less guns and meh secondaries.
Ballistics don’t seem that bad but its a down grade over top US 7.0 lmao not worth the bit better round especially where it falls off faster at range than 14inch
