For quite a while now, I’ve been trying to make a custom mission where I can modify a tank’s stats but no matter what I try I cannot get it to work. I’ve tried going to this link and doing what it says at the bottom for overrides. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to do this? Documentation is so limited and it’s hard to find any information on it.
The problem there is that datamining is required to make it fully work.

Okay, so I have to use an external program to unpack it the proper way from the game files? Then I can just use that file and change the stats that way?
Yes, you need an external program called wt tools, but the one which you can find by googling is outdated and you would need an updated version which isn’t easy to find.
Btw, why do you want to make custom units?
The reason why is I just wanted to mess around with the Type 93 and try modifying it for fun
You can’t play those vehicles if you modify them, only bots can, unless you decide to use a certain exploit.
I mean I’ve seen lots of videos online of people taking tanks and modifying the shell they fire, the fire rate, weight, engine power, etc. So how do they work?
They probably use that exploit.
There’s no other way. Or just use a custom user made model.
