Yeah, this is true. Aircraft bombs are useless compared to before, and it is not a wise choice to get out aircraft with current naval realistic battle.
Although not a real lover of CAS, but current naval realistic makes questionable about worthiness of aircraft in war thunder naval battle. Really should get some better deserve as method of game.

That’s anecdotal evidence, and if you are as close as 1800m, you are already within range to drop on the ship unless you are flying on the deck.

Well maybe if my suggestion for a battleship that had seacat anti air missiles didn’t get deleted it would balance the phantom out. Naval looks like its on its way out of support so might as well go nuts

HMS Cavalier. She was refitted with SEACATs half way through her service. Would have been a cool destroyer which would have also served as a serious anti CAS vessel too

Well naval has the best SL payout so that kind of scale wouldn’t be all that ridiculous for a 11.7 BR boat
edited it to 800k SL to match the $800k low end cost of 1 round for the 155mm

well a 5.7 premium easily outputs 100k profit a match so its still plausible, especially as tank shells cost thousands but are peanuts in wt

Its a shame we probably wont ever see a modern take on the post dreadnaught battleship but the plans we are seeing for the zumwalts makes me so jealous of the US navy. The Royal Navy has nothing anywhere close in potential other than our few nuclear subs. we hardly have the personnel to crew a dozen HMS hoods now
conceptually interesting, but look at the price tag for one of those things
also, if they did try a full on modern battleship itd just get vaporized by a nuclear Granit missile, or rendered useless by a drone swarm
