Hi, if I investigate the xm800t I will unlock the bradley? or I need to investigate the previous one
I beleive you will need to research the previous one to be able to purchase the XM800T and the Bradley, but you should be able to still research the Bradley I think

They could be short on the vehicles in the previous rank though, which would stop the XM800T being purchased, or possibly now even researched.
If the OP is 4/5 getting the M551 will fix that, but if they’re 3/5 that could cause trouble.
To purchase the XM800T you will 100% need to purchase the M551. I learnt that the hard way with HMS Vanguard and having to buy the previous 3 dreadnoughts that I had previously skipped.
But actually researching the XM800T might be possible because he had started before I assume it got moved about or something and I think they are semi forgiving with that. I think ive finished researhing something before that got moved behind something else which I hadnt

Yea, but it’s that red background for the whole teir that I’m seeing here… That’s definitely a locked rank, did the XM800T get shifted in rank at all?

Yep. Switched places with the M551 and increased in rank in April
and yeah, it would.
Though I do wonder if he would be able to research and buy it (assuming preivous is also researched and purchased) because research had started before the rank change and that rank unlock typically blocks research starting…
Its a wierd edge case that actually raises some interesting questions

Even if he researches it he needs to huy the sheridan AND unlock the rank the xm is in. I have a sinilar situation with a US corsair that I have researched 7 years ago and they moved them around so I now need to research and buy all the planes before it while also unlocking the rank it sits in.
You need both requirements met.
Yes you will need to research and buy the sheridan before you can buy the xm800. Might even have to unlock the next rank if you don’t have it unlocked yet.
I have this type of problem before. You MUST get the M551 in order to get the Xm800t You have to research and buy the M551 so you can get the XM800t
As long as the rank is ublocked the bradley can be researched. But since they don’t have the xm800 researched and purchased the sheridan has to be researched and bought as well. If you own a vehicle you can continue the line even if you are missing the lrevious vehicles. (I would know I have 6 unresearched copy paste tanks in the french tech tree and I have all the leclercs.)
Had he got the xm800 before it would not be an issue
