2 of the 3 F-35 models also have no gun but I’m just talking about BVR
Though depending on the strength of IRCCM on the IR missiles, I don’t know how useful a gun would be at top tier

Warthunder is, first and foremost, a game. From a game perspective the USA is in it’s rightful place, roughly balanced with everything else.
Yes, IRL for any given point in time, the USA is generally the strongest military in the world, however a drastic portion of this strength comes from scale. Also, it’s not really like US aircraft are artifically hampered. The reason we get decades newer RU aircraft then US ones is because they’re whats balanced to fight each other (armament limitations aside).
Also, the US isn’t really the best at everything, their missiles particularly, are while generally groundbreaking in their first iterations, things which fall off to being average/below average as other countries develop similar. (Why the Aim-120Cs are outclassed by many, many ARHs, and 9Xs are the generic brand 5th gen IR missile).

i mean fairs, but all 5th gens will likely be able to do this. pretty sure rafale is supposed to be able to do this already. maybe euro too

Oh I know. I have an airbase right down the road from my house, so I get to see F-35s and F-16s pretty often, and the F-35 is VERY impressive.

There’s already planes in game that should be able to do this (F-16D Barak II, F-15I) but don’t have access to missiles that have the capabilities to make these shots

Raptor was operational in a full squadron by the end of 2005. Iirc Europeans were still receiving deliveries and didn’t have fully operational squadrons; however I could be wrong on this because I don’t have full timeline for Luftwaffe.
I know Raptor was participating in Red Flag and similar exercises prior to Typhoon. Regardless of minor difference in service date, the Typhoon is not comparable to the Raptor. The only place it technically has a chance is a dogfight and even then it is likely inferior in all traditional dogfighting metrics and potentially only carried by HMD and ASRAAM.

It did when it first came out, and importantly it’s still viable at 14.0, also of course it’s going to lose to rafales, EF2Ks, those are 4.5 gen aircraft.

its got radars from F35 and better FM near super manuverbility
It’s quite interesting as you’d expect the canard delta to be superior but there’s prob either drag issues or the engines are underpowered (or the plane is just way too heavy, it’s speculated that the J-20 is 5 tons heavier than the F-35)

Firstly, they’d still lose in a dogfight, secondly, their advantage would be in armaments. As i said, armaments missing form airframes is a key tool used by WT to keep top tier aircraft from different eras relatively balanced to another.
