USA Bluewater TT is the worst! (At least at the beginning of Rank 1)

well your K/D and words show clearly you are in need of some advice but guess your ego doesn’t allow you to learn from others.

This post is so wrong and skill issue in so many ways it’s laughable.

Complaining that an average reserve ship(yes the Clemsons are average for 3.3 reserves) sucks is nonsense. What else do you expect from a frigging RESERVE ship?

No the Clemsons are not “supposed” to perform ASW. They could do it, but they weren’t dedicated sub-chasers or anything like that. Where did you get that notion?

It is not hard to kill a ship in naval if you know what you’re doing. Check these out if you’re new to naval:

Thankfully HMS Churchill has been “removed”, and only people who already had her already have kept them. HMS Vega, which has replaced her, is one of the best reserves now.

Aylwin(a Farragut class already in the game) is too strong to be a reserve. The US reserves are fine. There’s no need to replace them like with the Churchill.

Not really. It’s better than Turbine and Bourrasque, on par with Mutsuki, and worse than Frunze, Leopard, and Vega(the last two are 3.7 for a reason).

I mentioned in another post regarding Reserve ships recently that I put the Litchfield above the Bourrasque mainly due to having more shell options and at least a defence against aircraft plus it’s large amount of torpedoes ntm a lower BR.

While Bourrasque might have harder hitting cannons or slightly more crew the litchfield has a heavy torpedo batter and a flak shell for it’s AA.

Still due to those reasons I put the Barker above the Jaguar class as it doesn’t lose armament for more AA although the Jaguar class of France does get some nice LAA but that tree at most ranks doesn’t get any flak shell yet.

Still the Alywin makes the US probably one of the better rank I’s due to potent cannons & LAA ntm a good amount of torpedoes and HE-VT ammunition Vs again the french which gets no flak shells OOF & must give up armament just for better LAA.

In regards to the Churchill lucky it was removed for newer players will never have to suffer it although the new brit players miss out on Montgomery the only Wickes class in game which iirc was also removed too (it’s a surprise the yanks don’t get one), But hey it ain’t all that bad the Churchill is still better in most ways then the Hoquiam now that thing sucks as it essentially played the same role as Churchill historically yet it’s Rank V hah (21× the cost the Churchill originally was).

Conclusion:

The french are worse in most ways currently then the americans at Rank I are.

To understand your post, I spent several battles modifying the Litchfield and Barker. I am not an outstanding Naval player, but here is my opinion.

Litchfield is not a great ship, but it is not a bad ship. it is the second fastest 3.3 DD after the Turbine and can get close to Boat relatively quickly.
As for firepower, I didn’t like the terrible explosive mass and the SAP, which is reminiscent of the APCR, but the Basefuze is relatively decent and delivers minimal firepower. Given these two points, it is a passable boat/sub-chaser hunter.

However, it is true that it is inferior in almost every way to Frunze, which I feel is a better DD in 3.3. It was not the best ship.

Also, as for the opinion that Naval grind requires a lot of RP, I did not agree. During the time I was playing, it averaged 950~1500 RP or more, minus the premium account bonus. so theoretically, the Aylwin grind should be completed in 3~4 rounds.

Tommy, don’t get me wrong, (maybe) we all want you to keep fighting naval battles, because Naval is absolutely short of players and I want you to become a Naval fan as well. I note that this is my advice to that end.

Cheers!

Despite having 1 old WW1 gun, its armed with 4 single 20mm Oerlikon and 2 twin 12.7mm MG which is useful against coastal boat IF player “direct” control that gun…

This kind of ship should be BR 3.0 instead and be placed as NEW, lowest BR reserve Destroyer which is 3.0 level nowadays due to only having 1 single 4inch gun, 1 single 3inch gun and 1 triple torpedo in limited arc angle…

BUT when playing in lower BR of Bluewater vs Coastal around 3.0-3.3 level, i rather use HMS Churchill more on lowest BR IF someday Gaijin FINALLY make HMS Churchill as BR 3.0 Reserve Destroyer as its lowest BR limit instead of usual 3.3-3.7 nowadays
