I watched an Su-25K I think it was survive 3x Direct hits from AAMs in an ARB match not that long ago. 2 of those were my Aim-9Ls. Finally finished it off with a long burst of 30mm ADEN canon fire.

The Su-25 airframe is the only airframe I have ever seen survive more than 1 direct hit with a missile. Seen the Odd F-20 or F-5 survive direct hits from 1 missile before, but never 2.

Heck I’ve even seen a Su-25 survive a direct hit from a Red Top before. One of the largest warhead missiles in the game. That thing was designed to blow bombers out of the sky and the Su-25 shrugged it off.

The tiger uht was never the bain of peoples existance while annoying at times compared nothing to the KA. Hell they were the main complaint for helis surving AA missiles pushing for the interals to be added to helis.

The Ircm on the Su-39 is only usable in rear aspect, side aspect, it’s DOA.

The r60s almost always miss, r-73s are 50/50

Survived as in was flying perfectly fine or was it slowly falling towards the ground as the entire rear section was missing from its airframe

If I recall correctly. The F-14A and Tornado ADV the direct counters to the Mig-23MLD were both placed at 11.7. This meant they were uptiered to the 12.0 brackets for all of 2023. The Mig-23mLD was at 11.3 and enjoyed downtiers. In those brackets it dominated. So the F-14A only saw the Mig-23MLD between its introduction and December.

It has only been since the new brackets added at the start of the year that the F-14A or Tornado ADV can even see the Mig-23MLD again and they are still a higher BR than the Mig-23MLD meaning that there are brackets where the Mig-23MLD is one of the strongest airframes in the lobby because its at 11.7 and airframes like the Tornado ADV. F-14A and F-4S are all above it.

Aim-9Ms might have an advantage of smokeless motor. But if we are handing out R-73s to supersonic aircraft at 11.3/11.7 then Aim-9Li should also be handed out

There were 3 helis in pve everyone used, KA-50, Tiger UHT, and the Apache, but everyone in the KA-50s were usually firing all their Vikhirs at one another to dominate the other Ka-50

Wouldn’t say they’re great against anything that moves significantly since its still just a guided rocket it doesn’t maneuver too much

Go fly a Su-39, look out the cockpit, you CANNOT see anything, your RWR is the saving grace if anything. But the ircm is negated by irrcm missiles, which MANY aircraft have, just be side face, easy kill.
