Upgraded Schilka - Spicing up the sewing machine

+1 sure, why not? I think it should receive 8.7-9.0 at maximum, because it’s still Shilka

Can track from 20k meters but the guns effective range is still 2500m 😂

could be interesting, i believe certain ground radar sets have datalink so having an Aesa on your team at such a low BR (seeing as most people think this is a 8.3-8.7 thing) could make some saclos vehicles more viable with some good teamplay.

Anything known about this?

All that is known for now that is has to be some kind of proxy or AHEAD like ammunition.

In development I presume? Airburst 23mm seems like it would be quite difficult to make work, but I suppose that India already has knowhow in experimental ammunitions to some degree.

Yep

It seems it will be more of a: “fill the whole sky with it, some of it will be close enough to hit”, considering how Schilka works.

Oh for sure, even a smallish calibre round like 23mm would be insanely effective when combined with the Shilka’s ridiculous fire rate and the domestic Indian radar and FCS upgrades.

Absolutely +1

It looks like the upgraded schilka has been used in combat between India and Pakistan for repelling the drone attacks on India.

Looking at the fire rate I think it is a schilka rather than any other gun that India uses and the rounds fired were airburst as well.

+1 for independent Indian Tech Tree

This is why India should’ve never been added to Britain

You do know that’s probably never happening right?

Great suggestion to an Indian Ground Tree, otherwise it has no place joining the UK tree

Here’s an Indian Ground Tree suggestion with half the Copy/Paste of China:

The thermal imager used is “Ivory” by Elbit systems. It is used both in the standard configuration and in the “Ivory-Z” setup, with the added x2 telescope. I’ll leave the specifications below.
