War Thunder is a game about realism.
KVT is an external package designed for all Abrams not just M1A1, it could be an M1A2 and still realistic.
The only reason KVT was put on M1A1 and no M1 Abrams was because M1A1 was the reserve tank at the time.
A few years earlier when M1 Abrams was still reserve tank, well IPM1, then it’d be that tank instead.
There’s already an 11.3 premium tho, M1A1 HC.
Show me any other Abrams with the KVT package, and I’ll accede.
But until there was at least one other Abrams variant that mounted it, it’s strictly unhistorical to have the M1 KVT ingame as is.
And in terms of the 11.3 premium thing, the M1A1 KVT would be 11.0, meaning that similarly to the TURMS-T and 2S38, it and the new HC prem would make for a good lineup.

I have to say, I just dont think thats true. The M1 and M1A1 have pretty different turret designs atleast, and the KVT was simply a modification made for VISMOD training, during the time if the M1A1, not the M1
TURMS and 2S38 are completely different vehicles, meanwhile M1A1 KVT and HC premiums would be almost the same vehicles, with a single BR step difference.

The acceleration is better or the same, except reverse speed and top speed. This game doesnt have 5kmx5km maps, accel is by far the most important, and you dont need speed if you can eat 6 KEPs and still keep fighting

No, they dont, the abrams is one of the most one shottable tanks ever, it literally has zero side armor the only rounds it “eats” are the ones that cook it off, kill its engine or fully disable its fighting ability. Stop pretending thats the same as taking an entire shot to the side where a round disappears into the void. When we say “eats rounds to the side” that doesnt mean it needs a followup shot to kill, we arent talking about how it should always die instantly if side shot, were talking about how if an Abrams is shot in the side its fully disabled waiting to die, where as T80s only have red ERA or yellow turret ring with black ammo
M1 at 10.3 can bounce those early darts, let alone M1A1.

I’ve played a bunch of tanks with the exact turret protection as M1A1, they can and will bounce even top tier rounds, let alone early ones.
Something as unusual as 3BM4 penetrating the cheek of M1A1’s turret should be recorded.
