Technically it already has this as the Kungstiger has Zimmerit, now resolution wise maybe, its definitely nice to see the 2(p) get some add on armor and a new model but i will miss my smooth Tiger.
Doubt it, otherwise Swedish tiger would weigh more without its tracks on
Even though would make hardly any difference in weight as compared to its total 😆 I really like it when extras like this are a modification. Furthermore, I would then suggest that the total RP/point cost to complete all modifications and spade them should stay the same if the extra armor/Zimmerit is made as an optional modification. Optional armor/extras is always better imo. Let the player choose.
Extra info about Kungstiger's Weight from comment below:
Swedish Kungstiger weighs about .5t less than a standard 2(p) due to it missing its side skirts, id like the standard 2(p) to have the option to be without Zimmerit since i like how smooth it looks, its nice Germany has access to Zimmerit but i feel its a bit unfortunate we are loosing the Smooth Tiger.
will it also be receiving the experimental Stabiliser that the germans were developing for the Tiger II?
also its silly to push these changes out bit by bit.
if gaijin cares anything about equality then all vehicles should get these at the same time.
if all vehicles (at least within a rank) are not ready, then keep that update in storage until it is!!
Oh lol
Great, now please do that for the Fw 190 as well :)
this the best change ever i hope Tiger I and Tiger II / maus / 10.5cm tiger get also update models
about the tiger II p its still missing track armor in the top
I hope they fix the armor of the Crusader tanks too, their armor is incomplete and there’s a bunch of places where the armor is way thinner than it should, i really hope they fix it, like the internal mantlet on the Crusader Mk. II that’s completely unfinished… 1 piece is literally just floating, connected to nothing.
The community has already provided all the information needed to fix their armor, and the reports have been accepted and passed to the devs for years, and update after update they never fix it, i understand having priorities but it has been such a long time, and the Crusaders really need an update.
I really hope they do the corrections this update, the Crusader is a very important tank for the british tank development, and seeing it like this is just sad, it’s a heavy cruiser, that means it should have armor protection equivalent to a medium tank, but right now it has less armor than a stuart. I hope Gaijin fixes their armor too in this update

Great choice of remodel, good to see the full traverse and elevation system will be included!
“we fix over 1000 bugs per update”
meanwhile the actual bugs
Is there any evidence of the Porsche version using tracks as add on armor on the sides?
Oh no. Now I have to find a place for him in my line-up, because it will look too good to not include.
@Stona_WT
what about Tiger II 10.5cm ?
will it also get some love when tiger II gets a rework?
Holy crap, that’s some serious research
thank you i am big fan of tiger II tanks i already had these info for a suggestion but no need anymore because it’s getting added with new update !
hope other tigers and maus get some love to at one point
Can you actually look inside the tank using Ansel and highlight armor plates mentioned by Zenturion, that are not visible from normal outside view? I use AMD gpu.
Also yeah, I would prefer multiple vehicles armour profile overhauls rather than those one off things, which add unnecessary stuff like detailed radio model or whatever. To me its like that society of hidden paint. It is nice to look at, but it doesn’t improve gameplay in any way. This thing in general looks like a lot of work on a few vehicles while hundreds more are waiting.
Another thing is adding functionality to tanks. For example, I recently tried Pvkv 2, after it had reload time reduced and that thing doesn’t have ready rack modeled ingame even though it clearly has 16 shells ready in the turret and rest would have to be transported from hull via hatches or something. I would rather see that, as it has some impact on gameplay, instead of some zimmerit stuff, which is purely cosmetic.
Ok thats a really nice model rework, damn.
